This course provides an introduction to the basic concepts of Microsoft Word. On completion of this
course, the delegate will be able to create and use documents of various kinds effectively including
editing and formatting, simple use of tables and pictures, and printing. The material covered in this course

This course is suitable for delegates who wish to learn to create and edit simple Word documents
effectively. No previous knowledge is assumed, but familiarity with one or more other Windows

This course builds on the Word Level 1 course; on completion of the course, the delegate will be familiar
with the main features of Word that are generally used on a day to day basis. This course provides a
foundation for the Word Level 3 course that introduces some of the more advanced features of the
product.

This course is suitable for delegates who are familiar with the basics of Word, including editing text,
formatting, headers and footers, printing and simple use of Tables, Bulleted/Numbered lists and inserted
Pictures.

Description
The course covers the main features of Word that are used by most people on a day to day basis,
including multilevel Lists, Tables, graphic objects and drawings and other inserted objects, Sections, an
introduction to Styles and Templates, and Proofing tools. It provides a basis for a more detailed treatment
of some topics, plus some of the more advanced features, that are covered in the Level 3 course.
