teaching + Exchange Students from Lima, Peru
Before beginning this program, I used the ISTE
Standards for Educators to guide my instructional
practices and professional development initiatives.
However, my understanding and application of the
standards have deepened significantly as a result
of this learning experience. One instructional
practice that has changed is my approach to
designing and delivering professional development
sessions. I now prioritize incorporating elements of
the ISTE Standards into my training sessions,
ensuring that educators are equipped with the
knowledge and skills necessary to integrate
technology effectively into their teaching practices.
Additionally, I have started using the standards as
a framework for conducting technology needs
assessments and developing personalized learning
plans for teachers.

Artifact 4
This project proposal for equitable access demonstrates
my ability to design meaningful learning experiences
that align with the ISTE Standards and leverage
technology to enhance student learning outcomes. More
importantly, it helped me address a common theme in
my career, which is expanding our support for
underdeveloped communities by connecting students
with resources we have more readily available, such as
my learners’ mastery of the English language. I am
proud of the creative and realistic ideas I set forth in
the grant proposal that I crafted for this artifact.

Artifact 12
The reflection component of this assessment received
positive feedback from learners and showcased my
expertise in integrating technology into instruction to
promote creativity and student engagement. One of my
challenges in my Introduction to Digital Technology
class was the level of consistency the school required
between all teachers on assignments, so this data
analysis allowed me to dig deeper into a rubric and Graphs an
assignment that had some components I would have d Analysis
changed and provide feedback based on data. This
artifact also shows how I applied my data background
to utilize graphs in the classroom space, extending to
the conversations that I opened with students about
their work. I am proud of how I used my strengths to
provide opportunities to my learners.
