B. Motivation
Okay before moving to our next
lesson, I want to ask you some
question, have you ever been on a
date? Or have you been invited to go
out for a date? Anyone? Sir I have been on a date last year and he is my
boyfriend right now.

prepare on his or her first date? Sir he or she should have dressed comfortably and
he or she should always show his or her true
personality.

I want to tell you a story about this

young lady who lives in the farm, the
young lady helps her parents as
much as she can. The lady’s works
include the washing of the dishes
cleaning their house and she even
works as a farmer. One day a
foreigner went in their place to
explore how beautiful the farm is.
The foreigner has been attracted to
the beauty of our young lady. In
short, the foreigner experience what
we call “love at first sight”. The
foreigner asks the parents of the lady
if he can court their daughter. How
important it is that you have to ask
the permission of the parents before
courting someone? Sir it is very important to ask the parents of the
person that we like to show respect and to always
 listen to the advice of our parents because as what
they always say, parents knows best.

showing that we have a good
intention to their child. To continue
the story, the parents agreed because
the young lady is in the right age to
be in a relationship. Why it is
important to be in a relationship at
the right age? It is important to have the relationship at the right
age so that we can focus on our goal and that is to
finished our study especially if we are easily
distracted by the things around us.

Every day that they talk together
over the phone the foreigner really
fell in love with the young lady not
just because of her physical beauty
but also because the inner beauty
that she always possesses. Which is
more important, the physical or inner
beauty? The inner beauty sir. Because if we have good heart
and good intention, it will always radiate outside
and besides, when the time comes, the physical
beauty will fade but the goodness of the heart will
last for a lifetime.

lady need to solve. And that problem
is she has this dirty finger nails
because of her works. Why do you

fingernails? It is because of her work sir. If she works in the
farm helping her parents, it will not be unusual if
she will have dirty fingernails.

to have clean fingernails especially
during the times of pandemic? It is very important to have a clean fingernails sir
because the Corona Virus spread in different ways
that is why it is a must for us to have a clean body
and environment.
 Exactly! The young lady only wants
to clean her nail without using any
colour enamel or anything that could
make shine her nails. She just want a
simple and clean nails to fit her
personality. What do you thing is the
best way to achieve this look? The best way to achieve this is by cleaning the
fingernails.

today. It is all about the cleaning of
the fingernails.

What is cleaning the fingernails is all

about? Anybody who has an idea
about our lesson? Cleaning the fingernails is the basic type of
manicuring using only the two cosmetics namely
the cuticle remover and benzalkonium chloride.

Very good! Sometimes it is called as

pink and white manicure because we
are using two colored pink cosmetics
and white refers to our nail plate. Of
course we will perform it using some
implements, equipment and
materials.

Here are some of the things that we

will use in cleaning our fingernails.

of manicuring table? This where we place the hands of our patron.

orangewood stick? It is used for cleaning fingernails and pushing back
cuticles.

Here are the steps in cleaning the

fingernails. Kindly read them.
1. Prepare all the materials needed.

2. Seat the patron comfortably.

3. Check the nail of the client.

4. Remove old polish using cotton moistened

with nail polish remover.

5. Shape nails by filing the nails starting with

the little finger working towards the thumb
from corner to center to avoid nail splitting.

6. Soften cuticle with a cuticle remover.

7. Loosen cuticle by using the cuticle pusher

while keeping it moist with cuticle remover.
Brush the nails with downward movement.

8. Clean under free edge by using a cotton-

tipped orangewood stick.

9. Trim cuticle with cuticle nipper in a single

segment.
 10. Cleanse nails by brushing the
fingernails using a downward
movement.

11. Apply benzelkonium chloride and brush the

nails.

12. Dry hands and nails thoroughly.

E. Generalization
What are the benefits of having clean
nails? Having a clean nails make our finger nails look
simple yet clean and attractive.

Why it is important to have a clean

body? During the pandemic, it has been a reminder to us
to have a clean body especially our hands not only
to protect ourselves from the virus but also to stop
the spread of it.
How important it is to also have a
clean heart? Having a clean heart is a must for us. These past
year has been so hard for us to the point that no one
knows the time of our death. Having a good heart is
important because if we help a person in the
 smallest way that we can, it can have a domino
effect and no one knows that in the next coming
days we will never be afraid to talk to people
because everyone has a clean intention. This has
also been the reminder of God to us, to love and to
be good to one another and at the end of the day I
am sure that no matter how bad we look at a person,
there is still goodness in his or her heart.

the contribution of manicure in
your daily lives?
As students we had the opportunity to have the
skills in manicure and we can apply this skill in our
daily living and serve as a source of income during
our free time.
