ABSTRACT
Shear Wall is a perpendicular Structural Element used in Earthquake Resistant structures to resist lateral loads like wind
and seismic loads in earthquake prone zones. A 15 Storey structure is taken into consideration. From the below mentioned models
we can determine the effective position for shear wall for G+15 Storey RCC Structure, with the parameters like storey drift, side
relegation, and base shear. In this, G+15 Storey RCC Building is designed and analysed, in STAAD PRO, with shear wall at
different locales i)Structure with no shear wall, ii) Structure with L-type shear wall at corners, iii) Structure with shear wall
along the fringe, iv) Structure with Box-type open shear wall. Shear wall takes graviness loads also. Analysis which is
subordinated to earthquake cargo in zone V (0.36). Approach for Earthquake study is carried out as per Indian - IS 1893-2002/2005
in STAAD PRO using Limit Static Analysis. From the Results, we can have the knowledge of shear wall position in the structure
to get maximum strength and stiffness.

MODEL-4 (Structure with Box-type open Shear Wall at the

structure, earthquake defying ways similar as Seismic
