READING COMPREHENSION ( 15 QUESTIONS)
I registered as a member at this fitness center last year, and have been enjoying my membership
ever since. Unfortunately, I have recently avoided the spa since it is so unpleasant to use. The
shower room is especially bad. The floors have become grimy and littered with paper towels and
partially used bars of soap. The non-slip mats between the stalls are disintegrating. It simply does
not look or feel clean anymore. I would like to retain membership in the center, but I also want to
get good value for my money. I hope these conditions can be improved for the benefit of all
concerned.

The annual company outing will be held at Marina beach on Saturday, October 30, starting at
9:00 a.m. All employees and their families are invited.
Last year's picnic provided an excellent chance to relax after the busiest time of the year, and we
were all much fresher when we returned to work. We plan again to feature volleyball, softball,
swimming and water-skiing (with at least three boats in the water!). Of course, you
cannot miss the chili cook off we have planned.
The company will provide basic barbecue fare (including vegetarian entrees) and sporting
equipment, but all are encouraged to bring along their own food and fun as well.
Please let Sandra know by October 18 how many persons will be in your party. Get ready for a
wonderful time!

Re: Tennis Promotion
Date: July 5, 2021 We are trying to increase use of our tennis court and facilities. At the moment, many of our courts
are hardly ever used. If we want to maintain government funding, we need to show that there really is a demand for
these facilities. I am planning on displaying the following poster in every local leisure center. Before I send it to the
printers, could you take a look and give me your comments and suggestions? Do you think anything should be
changed or added?
Many thanks,
Jude Ashley
