Module The module is a compulsory component for all degree programmes in the Faculty of
outline Technology. It is scheduled to be conducted during the 6th semester outside of the faculty
premises. The overall duration of industrial training shall be 24 weeks. is arranged in liaison
with the industry and the National Apprentice and Industrial Development Authority (NAITA).
It is essential that the undergraduate is fully engaged throughout the training period and hands-
on experience is expected not only in the technical aspects of the work. but also related matters
such as administration, accounting/finance, management, safety, learning work ethics, practice
professional conduct, experience the organisation cultures & processes, and practice to solve
the industrial problems. After 12 weeks of training, the training engineer and panel of senior
academics conduct a field inspection.
