Aligning DRRM Tools with DRR Facilitators

RATIONALE

Following Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan 2023 Elections last October 30, 2023, a new set
of barangay officers were proclaimed and installed. Secretaries and some functionaries were retained and
others were replaced. Committees were reconstituted including Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management. Disaster preparedness activities and programs in accordance to required tools must to be
reintroduced and reviewed for the pursuit of harmonized disaster risk reduction and management
initiatives throughout the entire municipality.

OBJECTIVES

This activity aims to harmonize the DRRM activities of the BRRMC and MDRRMC for the
resiliency of the people of the Municipality of New Bataan in any occurrences of disasters.

METHODOLOGY

Facilitators will be providing orientation of the DPR tools and conduct Training Need Assessment
to Identify requirement gaps for the prioritization and synchronization of the capability development
activities.
