Learning Enhancement Activity


Activity 1
Disparity among Teachers

Teacher A has been a teacher for almost 30 years. She is very well-versed in her classes
especially in delivering the content. The only thing is that she is intimidated to utilize laptops,
computers or any gadgets in the delivery of her lesson. She feels that every time she will use these
technologies, she cannot implement well her lesson to the class. She is only using the traditional
technology such as chalk, chalkboard and self-made visual aids.
Teacher B on the other hand is a neophyte teacher teaching the same subject with Teacher A.
He is well-versed on the use of digital technology, such as delivering the lesson through PowerPoint
Presentation, use of Interactive Materials, among others. He may not be so expert in the content
delivery, but he is having a good time in the teaching learning process with the use of technology.

Guide Questions:
1. Who is better equipped to handle the 21st century learners? Teacher A or Teacher B? Why?
 For me teacher B is more equipped to handle 21 st century learners, simply
because we are now in a digital age wherein students are more equipped and
relies more to technologies in their learning process which makes them active to
more advance learning strategies such as creative PowerPoint presentations and
even creative class games that are now done through online websites.

2. Which of the two teachers would you like to become when you graduate? Why? 3. Give
reasons for choosing Teacher A or Teacher B by writing in in a one whole piece of paper.
 I would like to become like the teacher B when I graduate for the reason that we
are now in our technology age just like what I have said students rely more to
technologies, we are advancing and aside that it is suitable for today’s generation
of students as educator it is much easier for us to use technological tools in
teaching as it saves time also makes our work done easier.

following: CMO, 74 or 75, s. 2017. Locate Annex C and review the Competencies and read the
corresponding Performance Indicators under each of the 7 Domains. With your partner, identify one
Performance Indicator for each cluster that you consider as most important and that you are excited
to do. Identify also one Performance Indicator that you consider least important and that you are not
excited to do.

In this lesson, I learned that that there are competency standards in ICT for teachers to be
followed in order to have a meaningful learning experience for our 21 st century learners, things to
utilize, consider and implement specially we are now in our digital age where everything can be
acquired in just one click. I felt that as future educators we should be more considerate, there are a
lot of things to think about in a classroom so diverse, we need to be more flexible in implementing ICT
policies as it not caters every one of our students. In this unit I developed and acquire things that are
useful in the future specially when I am in the field of teaching, it is important to bear in mind that
there are competencies in ICT that an educator must follow as it will not help you but also helps to
have a meaningful and fun learning process in this digital era.

Making your own word cloud:

With the use of or any free word cloud generator and tag cloud creator, explore in the web or
reference book some other ICT terms and create your own word cloud on the basic terms or concepts
that you learned. You can also go over the Module and discover that there are many terms that we
have not included in the list.
