Why am I not selling this awesome product? Why give

it away for free?
This card game is based off the popular card game Cards
Against Humanity (which is NOT school appropriate). The
successful card game is licensed as Creative Commons,
meaning you can add your own cards to it. I have a lot of
respect for companies with open minds. However, selling
your own version of the game is frowned upon and
according to their website they will “SMASH YOU” if you try to
sell your own version of the product. So this product is
intended to be free for educational use! (Please don’t sue
me Cards Against Humanity ☺ )

What do I do with this?

First, you want to laminate and cut out your cards (I know, it’s
a lot of cutting, but it is mostly rectangles.) Make as many
copies as you need. (I have four groups in my class so I have
four sets).

This would make a great icebreaker activity for the first few
days of school or a reward at the end of the week.

How is this beneficial to students?

Promotes collaboration, builds community, builds sentence
fluency, refreshes students with exposure to English
academic terms
 How to play
Each player draws 10 white cards. The person who most recently used the bathroom is
the Card King and draws a black card. The Card King reads the question or fill-in-the-
blank phrase on the black card out loud.

The other players answers the question or fills in the blank by passing one white card
face down to the card king.

The card king shuffles and then reads each answer with the black card. The card king
then chooses the best answer.

Everyone must ensure they have ten cards at the end of each round by drawing a new
white card if needed.

The player with the best answer keeps the black card as their point. The player with
the most points at the end of the game wins.
