When it comes to this topic, the very first one that springs to my mind is Huy. We
first met when we were just six years old and attending the same primary school class.
Our friendship blossomed quickly, thanks to our shared love for Pokemon and a common
curiosity about the world around us.
To start with the appearance of Huy, he is not as tall as peers and a little bit
oversized but he has always been a bright and sociable person with a contagious
enthusiasm for life.
Moving on to where and how I met him, we bumped into each other on the very
first day of primary school. When I was looking around for an empty seat, Huy just
approached me and sat next to me. I think that was our first impression.
Throughout our school years, Huy and I remained inseparable. We sat together
in class, teamed up for group projects, and always had each other's backs when it came to
dealing with the challenges of growing up. On the weekend, when we have leisure time,
we go to the movies together and catch a flick from time to time.
As we transitioned into adulthood, our paths diverged as we pursued different
career paths and educational opportunities. Huy became a talented architect, while I
followed a career in psychology. Despite our busy lives and geographical distance, we've
managed to keep our friendship alive.

When it comes to this topic, the very first one that springs to my mind is my laptop
produced by the DELL company, which is a technological gadget I use on a daily basis. It's
an essential part of my life, and I rely on it for various purposes.

To begin with, my laptop is a sleek and modern device with the design is both
stylish and functional. And I find it so portable to use my laptop because I can bring it
everywhere.

Moving on to where and when I got it, if my memory serves me right, it has
been about three years since my parents decided to buy me a laptop to congratulate me
on getting admitted to LTV High School For the Gifted. Although I use it on a daily basis, I
try not to be overly dependent on my laptop.
 In terms of functionality, my laptop is incredibly versatile. I use it for productivity; I
manage my schedule, set reminders, and access my emails for work-related tasks.

Moreover, one of the standout features of my laptop is it serves as (đóng vai trò) a
source of entertainment. I can stream movies, listen to music, and play games on it. It's my
go-to device for relaxation and unwinding after a long day.

When it comes to this topic, the very first one that springs to my mind is a photo
that never fails to (always) bring a smile to my face. It's a picture of my family taken during
our summer vacation on top of Fansipan mountain.

To begin with, in the photo, we are all gathered to conquer Fansipan Mountain.
The weather was a little cool, and little showers fell steadily, yet our large family, all
gathered close together at the historical milestone, which is the roof of Indochina. The
photograph also features Vietnam's red flag with a yellow star floating in the breeze.
The sheer happiness and contentment on our faces are unmistakable.

I took this photo during a family trip to Sapa in June. It was a much-needed

When it comes to this topic, the very first one that springs to my mind is one of
the most beautiful cities I've had the privilege to (có cơ hội) visit is Lao Cai City, located in
the stunning Lao Cai Province of Vietnam. I visited Lao Cai City last year during summer
vacation, and the experience was truly breathtaking.

To begin with, I traveled to Lao Cai to explore its mesmerizing (đầy mê hoặc)
landscapes, which are renowned for lots of destinations such as Sapa, O Quy Ho
Pass, .... The primary reason for my visit was to embark on (start sth important) a journey
along the famous Lao Cai Loop.
Moving on to what makes Lao Cai City and its surroundings so extraordinarily
beautiful is the dramatic topography. Steep roads, high mountains and lots of clouds
define the landscape. The city itself is a vibrant and welcoming place, with friendly locals

and offers a taste of authentic Vietnamese life.

To eleborate on what struck me the most about Lao Cai City and its

When it comes to this topic, the very first one that springs to my mind is one of
my favorite parks to visit is Biên Hùng Park, located in the center of my city. I often go
there on weekends, especially during the spring and summer months.
To begin with, Biên Hùng Park is a peaceful and tranquility place amidst the
bustling city. It covers a large area with variety of trees and flowers. The park offers a
beautiful escape from the urban hustle and bustle, making it a favorite spot for both locals
and tourists.
When I visit Biên Hùng Park, I often go with my friends. It's a great place to
entertaiin through outdoors activities, or engage in recreational activities. On weekends,
the park comes alive with people enjoying various outdoor pursuits such as dancing
collective, roller skating, playing sports,…

6/ Describe a time you had an unusual meal

When it comes to this topic, the very first one that springs to my mind is I found
myself in this fancy, state-of-the-art restaurant. It was one of those places I hear about
through word of mouth and I had heard some rave reviews. Plus the fact that it was my
mother’s birthday, so we took this chance (Tận dụng cơ hội) to go out, to enjoy our
family time.

To begin with, typically, in Vietnam, buffets are infamous for low-end and low-
quality food, and yoy go there just because you can eat abundantly at a cheap price. But
to tell you the truth, this buffet was outstanding and a good value for money (đáng tiền).
There was a variety of foods, both traditional and blended cuisine, with the highlight of
amazing appetizer. On top of that, what really set this buffet apart is that you can
experience the food preparation process of chefs, because there was an open kitchen.

To tell you the truth, although it cost an arm and a leg, it was totally worth it,
because I could just gorge on anything I could ever imagine when I went there. As we
were saving our stomach (để dành bụng) for the buffet, we ate like a horse there.

So long story short, just goes to show, because the meal was exceptionally
pricey, you shouldn’t go there on a daily basis if you don’t want to get broke.

7/ Describe a time you received bad service in restaurants/shops

When it comes to this topic, the very first one that springs to my mind is I had a
disappointing experience at a highly recommended local restaurant during a lunch
outing with my colleagues. We chose this eatery based on its reputation for beefsteak,
which was claimed to be outstanding.
To begin with, I went to this restaurant with high expectations, eager to try their
renowned beefsteak. However, our positive expectations quickly faded as it took a
considerable amount of time for someone to come and take my order. When I finally
managed to get their attention, they appeared rushed and disinterested.
Moving on to when my food finally arrived, I was disappointed to find that the
beefsteak, which was supposed to be the highlight of the restaurant, was overcooked
and lacked flavor. The presentation was lackluster, and it seemed like little effort had been
put into the dish.
Throughout my meal, I attempted to get the attention of the waitstaff to address
the issues, but they were constantly busy with other customers. When I did manage to flag
someone down, they seemed annoyed by my complaints and offered no solution or
apology.
 In conclusion, this experience left me feeling dissatisfied. The combination of
inattentive service, poor food quality, and dismissive attitude contributed to a negative
dining experience.
