D. Participant’s The activity was participated by all the pupils, SPG candidates,
Description SPG adviser, School Electoral Board and other teaching personnel.

 To develop pupils’ potentials and leadership skills.
 To inculcate understanding regarding the fair, clean and
honest election.
 To practice the pupils in exercising their right to suffrage
meaningfully and become responsible citizen of the
country.

H. Highlights Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) is one of the school
organizations whose purpose is to train potential leaders in
developing their holistic character, serving as role model to the
other learners in school. The SPG Election of Somoge Elementary
School was conducted on September 9-16, 2022. The following
are the undertakings came about based on the schedule of
activities:
September 9, 2022
 Election of the Homeroom Officers from Kindergarten to
Grade 6 class was conducted with the facilitation of their
respective grade level adviser.
 The conduct of the SPG election/schedule of activities was
announced by the SPG Adviser, Sir Giovanni H. De Guia.
The School Election Board was also created to where
Ma’aam Regina Gracia Franzuela as the Chairperson, and
Ma’am Rainee Ramilo and Ma’am Nanette Q. Alcantara as
the members.
 The two parties were formed, namely the SBM Party
(Samahan ng mga Batang Maasahan) and the MMM Party
(Matapat, Matulungin at Maasahan), filed their Certificate of
Candidacy to the committee. Their COCs were thoroughly
evaluated and each candidate was interviewed as regard to
their aspirations in running the SPG.
 Candidates’ Election Application Packets were
consolidated by the board. Election Paraphernalia were
also printed and prepared.
 The final list of candidates was announced and posted.

September 12, 2022


 Before the election, candidates from both parties were
called for an orientation. The activity was spearheaded by
the SPG adviser. He oriented the candidates about the
proper way of conducting an election, as well as the do’s
and don’ts. The school head, Sir John Alver Corsino, was
also invited to give some important reminders, takeaways
and advice to the aspiring young leaders.
 After the orientation, both parties started their room-to-
room campaign.

September 13, 2022


 Election Day. Manual election was conducted wherein K to
3 pupils used popsicle sticks in voting, meanwhile 4 to 6
pupils used the ballots. The election started at 7:30 am and
ended at 12:00 noon.
 The counting of votes started at 2:00 pm after having all
the pupils being able to vote. Yzah Jafe D. Carias from SBM
party outranked the opposing candidate for President
position (61/37 votes), meanwhile Henrylyn G. Marino on
the same party also won as Vice-President (58/39 votes).

September 14, 2022
 Sir Giovanni H. De Guia, the present SPG adviser, was re-
selected and approved as the SPG adviser for the S.Y.
2022-2023.

September 15, 2022


 Oath taking ceremony of the SPGO 2022-2023 was
scheduled during the Induction of Officers coming this
November 2022.

September 16, 2022


 Election reports and documents were prepared by the
electoral board.
