I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
a. Identify the design, colors, and patterns, texture, contrast of colors and shape
used in an artwork
b. Draw an artwork using the components of artwork
c. State the importance of components of an artwork

II. SUBJECT MATTER


Topic: Components of an artwork
Reference: Arts for Grade 4 Quarter 4: Week 4, K to 12 Curriculum A4PL-ive
Materials: PowerPoint slide presentations, laptop, pictures, bond papers
Values integration: Appreciate the importance of design, colors and pattern and
apply it in making an artwork

Our lesson for today is all about the


design, color and patterns used in the
artwork

“Okay class, when we are talking


about the components of an artwork,
we are to focus on its primary
element which are:
Design, colors and patterns.”

art?”

“An outline, sketch, or plan as of the
form and structure of a work of art, an

predictable way is a pattern. You might
find a pattern in a series of numbers,
in the material covering your couch, or
in the habits of your upstairs neighbor.
The noun pattern could refer to a
design or to customary behavior.”

attentive as I will show you some
pictures of arts and I will need you to
distinguish each picture whether they
fall into the definition of design, color,
and pattern.

and design. And you also recognized
them by its definitions. However,

components that are needed to be
considered in an artwork. These are
the shapes, texture, and contrast of
colors. Kindly pay attention to the

better understanding towards the
new elements that are added in art.”
