Machines Simulator Licenses

Machines Simulator needs a license key in order to run. If you have not a license key Machines Simulator will not work.

If you want to purchase some of the available licenses for Machines Simulator, please follow the instructions available in

There are three types of licenses, floating licenses, Server licenses and USB licenses.

- Standalone & Floating licenses allows to run the software on only one PC at a time. You can deactivate the
license on the assigned PC to activate it on another. Computers using floating licenses needs an Internet
connection in order to use the software.
- Server licenses allows to run the software on as many computers at the same time as licenses have been
purchased. The minimum is 3 and maximum 30. Computers using server licenses needs as Internet
connection in order to use the software.
- USB License allows to run the software on only one PC at a time. The software will run while the USB will be
plugged in the computer. Could be transferable between computers. The USB licenses do not need an
Internet connection.

How to activate your License

USB License
Only is necessary to install the software from the provided USB Key and keep the USB key connected to the computer
where the software is running.
Standalone & Floating License:
During the license purchase process, on the Nirtec website, you will have been asked for your username. If you have
entered it, you will receive an email with confirmation of your username and your license key:

If you are making the purchase for a third party, or you don't even know what username you are going to use, no
problem, you can write 'later' in the text box and request your password later. In that case, once you know the
username you will use, you must send an email to [email protected] indicating the following:
• Your order number assigned when you made the license purchase
• The email address you want to use as username to create your account.

Then within a maximum period of 24 hours (48h if it is Saturday/Sunday or holiday) you will receive a license key
associated with your user account. The license will be a sequence of numbers and letters, then to activate your license,
select the User icon in Machines Simulator:

In the User Login Windows, click on Create New User button:

Here type your username (the mail address you indicate in the purchase process or sent to [email protected]), your
selected password (must to be repeated for safety) and the License Key provided by Nirtec (after) you can press the
Paste Lic.Key button to paste the License Key previously copied in the Windows Clipboard:

Let the check Logon on Start if you want the software will automatically log on each time you launch Machines
Simulator (recommended).

Then press Activate License button. If all the data is correct your license key will be validated, then you can start using
Machines Simulator

How to change the license on another computer:

If you want to change the computer where you’re using Machines Simulator, you must to deactivate the license in the
current computer you’re using it, to do it, click on user icon:

Then on User Login (your user’s name will be showed due is recorded when you made the login) type your password
and click on Sign in to account button:

In the User account data window click on Deactivate License button:

A message will indicate the license is deactivated:

Then you can activate it on another computer.

Press Log Off button to clear your user data, in order to use other account or clear any data relating your account.

Press Forgot password button if you do not remember the password with which you registered your account. You will
receive an email to the email address where you registered where you can change your password.

Server License:

When you purchase a server license package you will have access to download the Nirtec Server License Manager utility.
This tool allows to configure the user account and all the passwords for the computers linked to this account.
The server user creation must to be done using the Nirtec Server License Manager utility, a server license user cannot
create the account directly in Machines Simulator. If the user tries to register a new user for a server license, the
following error message will appear:

All the computers using a server license, needs two passwords, one is the server license user (the same user and
password for all the computers using the same license) and other specially designed for each computer that will connect
to the server. Each of these passwords are configured using the Nirtec Server License Manager utility, in this way the
server administrator can grant or remove access to each user of the server license.

Once the server administrator has created the user and all the password for the computers that will connect to the
license server, each user can configure their license server user in Machines Simulator, then click on user Icon:

And type the server user and password (provided by the server administrator, this is the common account for all the
users), then press the Sign in to account button:

Type The License Key provided by the server administrator (the same key for all users provided by Nirtec when
purchasing), and press Activate License button:

Then a new field will be showed, the Server Password, the user must to type the password fixed by the server
administrator in order the user will be able to activate their license:

Once the user has typed the server password, must press the Activate License button in order to activate their license in
this computer.

The server licenses can be deactivated using Machines Simulator (same process explained in the floating license section)
or the Nirtec Server License Manager utility, where the server administrator can deactivate the license assigned to each
computer and change their seat password.
