Guidelines for Graduation Performance

Graduation Theme:

CITIZENSHIP IN ACTION: REFLECTING ON OUR NSTP JOURNEY

BOOTH COMPETITION

Guidelines
1. Each section is encouraged to showcase their creativity by designing and
displaying their booth freely.
2. Each section will be allocated two (2) days for the preparation and assembly of
their booth leading up to the graduation day.
3. On the day of the competition, each section will be granted an hour for final
adjustments and enhancements to their booth.
4. Each section is allowed to incorporate an advocacy into their booth design
however it should be aligned with the graduation theme.
5. All booth designs and activities must be relevant to the graduation theme,
ensuring a thematic experience.
6. A number of three (3) people are allowed to supervise and represent their
section’s booth after finalizing period.
7. Any modification to the booth after the allocated one (1) hour finalizing period are
strictly prohibited.
8. The decision of the board of judges shall be final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:


The judges will score the teams according in judging criteria on a 100 point
system.
Relevance 30%
Appearance & Presentation 30%
Creativity & Originality 20%
Booth Display 20%
Total 100%
SABAYANG PAGBIGKAS / SPEECH CHOIR COMPETITION

Guidelines:
1. Each section must have 10-15 participants.
2. The duration of the performance should have a minimum of 3 minutes and a
maximum of 5 minutes.
3. The piece is provided by the officers.
4. The participants should wear their NSTP-CWTS shirt.
5. Recorded background music is prohibited. However, live background music such
as drums, guitar and other instruments is permitted.
6. The team may use props but it should be minimal – small handed.
7. External trainers are not allowed. The performance should be solely
choreographed and practiced by the group.
8. Practice session should be conducted within the school premises and given time
and day. Practicing outside the school, and out of the given time and day may
result to disqualification.
9. The decision of the board of judges shall be final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:


The judges will score the teams according in judging criteria on a 100 point
system.
Delivery and Articulation 40%
Synchronization 30%
Creativity and Originality 20%
Stage Presence 10%
Total 100%
MASS DANCE COMPETITION

Guidelines:
1. 1. There must be one entry per section
2. 2. The participants must be a bona fide student of HTC Gensan and enrolled to
NSTP 2
3. 3. The entries should showcase in congruence with this year's theme "Citizenship
in Action:
4. Reflecting on our NSTP Journey
5. 4. Every section must have a minimum of 20 and maximum of 30 participants
including the
6. props men.
7. 5. If there is any mascot, the mascot will automatically be included as part of the
participants.
8. 6. The music must be at least 3-5 minutes
9. 7. Use of props will be allowed as long as it will not cause any delay in the
program and any
10. harm to the performance of other groups. Props such as oil, confetti, pyrotechnic
gadgets,
11. smoke generators or combustible material, broken glass, live animals, sharp
objects and the
12. like are prohibited;
13. 8. Every section must use their NSTP shirts as their official costumes.
14. 9. Each section can have a maximum of 3 backdrops. The backdrops must have
a maximum
15. of 8 feet in height. It must have a combined (all the backdrops) length not less
than 10 feet
16. and not greater than 20 feet. There shall be an inspection two days before the
competition.
17. 10. There will be a 1-minute preparation to be given to the participants before the
18. performance. Timer will start when the last person left the stage.
19. 11. Any lewd, obscene or offensive stunts are prohibited. Other dangerous and
threatening
20. stunts such as , tossing, throwing, lifting, and use of pyrotechnics are also
prohibited.
21. Violation of this provision shall result in automatic disqualification of the
participant. They
22. may be allowed to finish their performance; however, their scores will no longer
be computed
23. for purposes of determining the winner.
24. 12. Every violation has a corresponding 2-point deduction. These are the
included provisions
25. that, once violated, would result in corresponding deductions.
26. 13. The tabulation is in the form of a Ranking System. In case of a tie, the
tabulation will
27. change into the Average system. But if there is still a tie, the board of judges will
break the
28. tie.
29. 14. Getting or hiring a trainer is not allowed; it will lead to disqualification of the
section.
30. 15. Practices outside the school are not allowed.
31. 15. The judges' decision is final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:

Choreography (Creativity, Style, and 35%
Originality)
Execution (Timing, Coordination, and 25%
Projection)
Relevance to the Theme 20%
Costumes and Props 10%
Overall Impact 10%

EXTEMPORANEOUS COMPETITON

Guidelines:
1. English.
2. Each section shall have one (1) representative regardless of his/her identity.
3. Each participant must wear a formal or business attire.
4. The participant shall be given 3 minutes to prepare and 3 minutes to deliver.
5. The instructors shall decide on what theme related topic or question the
contestant shall discuss the answer. The topic will be given on the actual contest.
6. The style of the delivery shall be conversational, oratorical or a combination of
both.
7. The use of sound effects and props are strictly prohibited.
8. The decision of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:


The judges will score the teams according in judging criteria on a 100 point
system.
Content and Organization of thought 40%
Voice Quality, Proper enunciation, and 30%
diction
Presentation (Proper posture and 30%
gesture)
Total 100%
ORITORICAL SPEECH COMPETITION

Guidelines:
1. Each section should have one (1) participant either Male or Female.
2. The participant should wear a formal attire.
3. The participant should provide his/her original piece anchored to the graduation
theme.
4. The piece should be in English language.
5. The participant must provide his/her original piece a week before the graduation
day.
6. The duration of the performance should have a minimum of 3 minutes and a
maximum of 6 minutes.
7. Use of sound effects and props are strictly prohibited.
8. The decision of the board of judges shall be final and irrevocable.

CRITERIA FOR JUDGING:


The judges will score the teams according in judging criteria on a 100 point
system.
Content and Relevance to the theme 40%
Voice Quality, Proper Enunciation and 30%
Diction
Presentation (Proper Posture and 30%
Gesture
Total 100%
SPOKEN WORD POETRY COMPETITION

Guidelines
1. Each section should have one (1) participant either Male or Female.
2. The participant shall have his/her original composed piece.
3. The piece may be written in Filipino or English language.
4. The participant may opt to use background music during his/her performance.
5. The participant is allowed to wear any attire as long as it adheres to the school’s
dress code.
6. The duration of the performance should have a minimum of 3 minutes and a
maximum of 4 minutes.
7. The participant will be given one (1) minute preparation before his/her
performance.
8. Deduction will be applied for any disobedience of the guidelines.
9. The decision of the board of judges shall be final and irrevocable.
