MINUTES OF LAC SESSION ON NLC LEARNING FOCUS

DATE: July 27, 2023

VENUE: G-12 HUMSS Classroom
TIME STARTED: 2:00 PM
TIME OF ADJOURNMENT: 4:00 PM
NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS PRESENT: 12
AGENDA:

1. LEARNING FOCUS PLAN OF THE NLC

2. IDENTIFICATION OF THE LEARNERS UNDER ENHANCEMENT, CONSOLIDATION, AND
INTERVENTION CAMPS
3. GATHERING OF THE FEEDBACKS FROM THE STUDENTS
4. Other Matters

The session was initiated with a prayer led by Ma’am Jonaden B. Lacdag, followed by the presentation of the
Agenda delivered by the school head, Sir Federico A. Samuel, Jr. Subsequently, he facilitated a discussion regarding
the framework of the Learning Camp, which was actively participated in by the teachers.
It was duly noted that the final count of enrolled NLC learners amounted to 47. The composition is as follows:

 Incoming Grade 7: 10 Female & 7 Male

 Grade 8: 6 Female & 12 Male
 Grade 9: 22 Female & 25 Male
The school head proceeded to address the first item on the agenda, which pertains to the Learning Focus Plan.
This plan encompasses three distinct learning camps: a. The Enhancement Camp, tailored to enrich the learning
experience of advanced learners by offering a more profound understanding, broader coverage, and more intricate
mastery of competencies within various learning areas. b. The Consolidation Camp, designed to provide additional
practice and real-world application of competencies previously taught. This stage fosters the recognition of
interconnections between concepts and skills across different grade-level competencies. c. The Intervention Camp,
structured to provide targeted support for high-need learners struggling with Foundational Mathematics and/or
Foundational English skills.
These three Learning Focus categories stem from the analysis of student performance over the previous
academic year, utilizing data from the first to fourth quarters' Test Item Analysis (TIA). The process involves
identifying and consolidating the least mastered and mastered competencies. Consequently, NLC learners are
classified into three well-structured groups corresponding to the Grade 7, 8, and 9 levels.
In the final segment, student feedback was deliberated upon, categorized according to respective learning
camps. Notably, positive feedback was garnered based on survey responses collected from students, indicating a
strong enjoyment of the activities provided.
The meeting concluded successfully, adjourning at precisely 4:00 pm.
