OUTLINING
An outline is a blueprint or a plan of your writing piece or research
paper.

It is a tool used in improving and organizing written ideas about a

topic into a logical order. Writers use outlines when writing their
papers to know which topic to cover and in what order.

Literary elements are the building blocks of literature. They are the essential
ingredients that make up a story, poem or play. Without literary elements, there
would be no literature. Literary elements include plot, conflict, character, setting,
point of view, and theme. They are essential because they provide a framework for
the writer to tell their story. Plot is the sequence of events in the story, and it can be
divided into three parts: the beginning, the middle, and the end. Conflict is the
struggle between two opposing forces. Characters are the people (or animals) that
populate a story. Setting refers to where and when the story occurs. Point of view is
the perspective from which an author tells a story. And the theme of a story is its
central idea or message.
GROUP 2
In learning, there are four macro skills that we must deal within order to
communicate effectively. Macro skills refer to the primary, key, main, and largest skill
set relative to a particular context. The four macro skills are reading, listening,
writing, and speaking. Listening is about hearing and perceiving other people's
opinions, and absorbing facts and emotional intelligence derived from the spoken
word. Speaking is a vital form of self-expression. Reading is the key to social
progress; without the reading skills needed to get an education, citizens will lag
behind. And writing is a fundamental tool for expression ideas, facts and figures.

As a student, one of the most important things to keep in mind is the amount of money you spend during your
study years. Spend too much, and you risk accumulating too much debt after graduation; spend too little and
you might be left wondering what the point of it all was, if you didn’t even get to have any fun or new
experiences.
But fear not: here are some easy and smart tips to save money as a student – without compromising on your
quality of life. First is buying second-hand goods. Buying second-hand goods is a great way to save money as
a student, because prices are usually much lower than for brand new items. Second is cooking for yourself.
Cooking for yourself definitely helps you save money as a student. Eating out is one of the most expensive
things you can do, especially if you study in a city where a lot of restaurants are pricey. Lastly, shop in the
evening! Many supermarkets have a clearance sale in the evenings, where any food due to go out of date is
sold at a marked-down price. Next time you go grocery shopping, try popping into the store a few hours before
it closes and check out the prices. There’s a massive difference!

In the Philippines, social media plays a huge role in Filipinos’ everyday lives. For the past few years, the
country has always been one of the leaders worldwide in internet usage. Due to the frequent use of social
media in the country, both the IRL (in real life) culture and the Internet culture often mix into one uniform
culture.
Facebook reigns supreme as the most widely used social media platform in the Philippines. The platform leads
every social media platform, boasting an impressive 96% market penetration among internet users aged 16 to
64. Closely following Facebook’s dominance is its messaging app, Messenger, with an impressive 92.1% of
Filipino internet users actively using it. And the short-form video-sharing app, TikTok, has taken the
Philippines by storm, captivating the attention of 77.2% of internet users.
