Background
At the beginning of the 21st century, the term
'internet of things began to be widely used by
the media. Interest in IoT technology has also
experienced a significant increase from
discussions about short-range wireless
communications, sensor networks, and so on.
Even today, human life cannot be separated
from the internet. The internet's use and the
speed of technological change force humans
to continue to adapt to its development.

This significant development process cannot


be separated from the ability of students,
especially in Indonesia and in the world in
general in producing innovations or
improvements from previous innovations.

Seeing the many innovations produced by


students today, the Indonesian Young Scientist
Association (IYSA), collaborates with Sekolah
Vokasi Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang
Indonesia. Initiating an activity called the
Indonesia International IoT Olympiad (I3O).
OBJECTIVES
Provide a platform for invention and innovation
event to develop creative mind and spirit for
young talented students especially in science,
environment and engineering.
Developing the skills of scientific research and
interest in innovation and invention among young
talented students.
Exchanging invention and innovation experiences
through common interest between students
regardless of their nationality.

GENERAL PROVISION
Participants are students from Elementary, Secondary, University and Public
(Teachers, Lecturer, Researchers, Company, Institution, Organization) from
National and International.
Each team consists of a maximum of 5 people.
Each team must have 1 supervisor.

Mechanism of
Competition
1. Online Competition

The entire participating team will facilitate the judging process through the
Zoom platform.
The presentation must be conducted in English, and the presentation
material (PowerPoint) should be created using proficient and accurate
English.
Each team will be allocated 15 minutes, divided into 7 minutes for the
presentation and 8 minutes for the Q&A session with the judges.
During the presentations, participants are required to showcase their
products.

2. Offline Competition

Each team is obligated to bring an A0 size poster and embellish the


booth/table provided by the organizing committee. The decoration should
be tasteful and in accordance with the project theme, avoiding
excessiveness.
