3) Is Paddington Bear real?
Yes No
By the way: Michael Bond (Paddington Bear creator) was on his way
home on Christmas Eve in 1956 when he spotted a toy bear in a shop
and decided to give it as a gift to his wife. He called the bear
Paddington after the Paddington train station in England near the shop.
Bond later came up with a story idea of an unaccompanied bear turning
up at a train station looking for a home.

What did you feel while watching the video?
What is the atmosphere of this video? What symbols of British culture
have you noticed?
Put in the right order:
The bear congratulated the Queen on her reign: “Happy Jubilee
Ma’am. And thank you. For everything.”
The polite bear offered the Queen a marmalade sandwich, which
was tucked inside his red brimmed hat.
Paddington Bear had a cup of tea with Queen Elizabeth II at
Buckingham Palace as part of the Platinum Jubilee festivities
celebrating her 70 years on the throne.
Both The Queen and Paddington used a spoon to tap out the beat
of Queen’s We Will Rock You anthem on a China teacup.
Paddington causes chaos by accidentally depriving the monarch of
another cup of tea and spraying cream from a chocolate éclair over
a palace footman.
Queen opened her iconic handbag to reveal her very own ready-
made sandwich.
Her Majesty simply replies, “That’s very kind.”
What is the term of address for female royalty? Have you noticed
this term in the video and in its title?

Why do you think Queen Elizabeth agreed to make such a video?
This video was shown during the concert event, and it was a
delightful surprise to all, including Her Majesty's closest family
members. The Queen kept the production secret for months. The
fact is all the royal family (especially, children) love this cute and
clumsy bear.
Prince George in particular loved the video, as he was pictured
laughing alongside his dad in the audience.
Did you like the video? Why?
