#Note:
a. The HRA will be admissible as per the classification of the city where the lab is located
b. Increment rate will be 5% after every 02 years as per DST norms.
c. If due to revised structure, any official (Contractual) gets less than what is currently being paid to him, due to
any reason, the existing pay will be protected till he/she reaches the same level under the revised structure.
d. The DEO/MTS will not be paid less than admissible under the Minimum Wages Act.
e. Any other allowance if admissible as per funding agency will be provided accordingly.

Terms and conditions:

I. Duration of Employment:
a. One Year (12 Months) extendable up to 3 years, depending on the candidate’s performance
review [by the Principal Investigator (PI)/ co-PI], requirement in above project and budget
grant from the funding agency.
b. At time of applying for above mentioned posts, the applicant shall be required to submit duly
filled in and signed undertaking (as per annexure 2) along with application form (as per
annexure 3)
c. The engagement to the above-mentioned posts is purely on time bound contract basis and the
competent authority reserve the right to dispense with the engagement, at any time without
assigning any reasons.
d. The engagement on the above-mentioned posts will automatically cease on the end date of
engagement. The incumbent shall not have no right to claim for further engagement. In any
case, whatsoever, any request/ representation in this regard will not be entertained.

e. The engagement can be terminated during the tenure at any time by giving one month notice
on either side. (the mandate of one month notice from either side will not be applicable
competent authority desired to close Regional level VRDL).
f. The appointment to above post will not vest any right to claim by the candidate for regular
appointment or permanent absorption in AIIMS Bilaspur/DHR or continued contractual
appointment.

VII. Other Conditions:
a. Age/ Education qualification will be considered till the late date of the advertisement.
b. Age relaxation for women/OBC (non-creamy) SC/ST candidates will be considered as per GOI rules.
c. It is the candidate responsibility to ascertain and ensure their eligibility as per the prescribed

f. The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed by terms of the leave policy of the funding
agency as amended time to time.
g. No hostel or any other accommodation will be provided by AIIMS Bilaspur.
h. The appointment will be full time. The private practice and canvassing of any kind will not be permitted.
i. Appointed candidate have to work in shift (Even night depending upon the need), can be posted at any
place in the institute, including the field visit.
j. Appointed candidate is expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the
institute employee.
k. The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of the candidate will be final and no

Qualification Criteria for various Post on Contractual Basis at Regional Level VRDL, AIIMS
Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh

A. Essential Qualifications:
• Post Graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with one year R&D / teaching experience in the required subject
from recognized university.
Or
• Post graduate diploma in medical subjects with two years R&D / teaching experience in the required
subject from recognized university.
Or
• MBBS degree recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from recognized university with 4 years R&D /
teaching experience in the required subject after MBBS degree.
Or
• BDS / B. V. Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI / VCI with 5 years R&D / teaching experience in the
relevant subject after BDS / B. V. Sc degree.

B. Desirable Qualifications
i. MD in the relevant subject from a recognized university for candidates with first class relevant degree.

iii. Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management.
iv. Have knowledge in molecular laboratory work e.g. primer, designing and in house development, PCR

virology/microbiology/life science/relevant field (preference in this order)

C. Remarks

iii. Knowledge of NIE Portal and other relevant portals for data entry of the laboratory tests.
