4. Answer ONE question from Section A; ONE question from Sections B and

1 (a) Tell the story of Mary’s visit to Elizabeth [5]

(b) Give reasons why God chose to use Mary and Elizabeth to fulfill his
purpose. Give two points. [4]

(c) (i) Mr. Mutale, a Pastor at Sense Baptist Church has been going
through Problems and he confides in you that he doubts if he has
been called by God. As a Christian give Mr. Mutale ways in which
god directs Christians. Give three points [6]

(ii) How do people in Zambian modern society respond to God’s


direction in their lives? Give three points. [6]

(d) In what ways are the Christian teachings on God’s direction of human life
different from that of Hindus? Give two points. [4]

2 (a) Give an account of the naming of John the Baptist [5]

(b) State two significant points on the purpose of John’s life and ministry. [4]

(C) (i) A couple has a new baby. They agree to give the baby a Christian
name but the relatives insist on giving the baby the name of the
grandmother. State two reasons her relatives would give to
maintain their stance and state one Christian argument the couple
would give to keep a Christian name for the baby. [6]

(ii) Why is it important for a baby in a Zambian modern Society to have a


name? Give three points. [6]

(d) In what ways are Christian teachings on religious duty and family loyalty
different from those of Zambian Traditionalist? Give two points. [4]

3 (a) Narrate the story of Jesus feeding five thousand people [5]

(b) What does this incidence show about the character of Jesus? State two
points [4]

(c) (i) “I have never seen a blind person see after being prayed for, so I do
not believe in miracles!” exclaimed Grace. Give one reason Grace
would give for such a statement and give two reasons why
Christians believe in miracles.

(c) (i) Zimba is a church elder at one of the local churches. One day as
he was preaching, some people started to oppose him. Zimba
became annoyed and stopped preaching. State three Christian
advice you would give Zimba on reaction to opposition [6]

(ii) How do some people react to opposition in Zambian Modern

(d) State similar ways in which Christians and Hindus react to opposition.
