Notice:

V8UHD and V9 Prime update software, you need to put the Backdoor.key file

together under the root directory

Precautions
1. V8UHD V9Prime V7PRO V8X upgrade mars
2. V8UHD V9Prime V7PRO V8X Mars upgrad
A) Mars USB upgrade Mars
B) Mars OTA upgrade Mars
（If the software version is greater than the OTA online version, please do not
upgrade, the forum version is the latest）
C) Mars USB Force upgrade Mars
（ USB forced upgrade of mars software It is recommended to use it when the
machine cannot be started and the stuck boot logo appears. If the forced USB
upgrade cannot be resolved, please use the RS232 serial port to flash the machine）
Method A and B are recommended, and method C is used when the box cannot be turned
on.
3. upgrade MARS software through RS232
(RS232 The serial port can directly program the mars software, No need to upgrade v8x via
serial port first, then upgrade mars via usb)

1.V8X upgrade mars
1.1.Download the V8X_Mars software bin file and copy the U disk
1.2.Plug in the V8X machine
1.3.Using V8X software, select USB Upgrade

1.4.Select Upgrade File》Upgrade Mode》All Code》V8X Mars》Start

1.5.Do not power off during the upgrade process, it will restart automatically after
the upgrade is complete
2.Mars upgrade
A: Mars software USB upgrade
A.1. Insert the U disk with software, select the USB item, select the V8X_Mars
software, and press the OK button to upgrade the USB
A.2 After the upgrade is completed, it will restart automatically, please go to
Settings>About STB>S/W Version version information
2.Mars upgrade
B: Mars software OTA online upgrade
B.1. Under the network, after connecting to the network, under the MENU interface, select
APP>Select the software to upgrade online. After the upgrade is completed, it will restart
automatically. After restarting, check the version information.
(If the forum software version is greater than the OTA online version, please do not
upgrade, the forum version is the latest)
2.V8X Mars upgrade
C.USB forced upgrade method
C.1. Modify the V8X_Mars..bin software to the file name update.bin
C.2. Copy to the root directory of the usb device and insert the V8X device.
C.3. Then power on, when the front panel shows boot, press the power button
several times to enter the forced upgrade mode.

C.4 After the upgrade is complete, it will automatically restart and enter the
user interface.
3.upgrade MARS software through RS232
3.1 If your V8X cannot upgrade MARS software via USB,

need to flash the v8x on the serial port first and then upgrade the mars
software via usb)
you can choose the following methods:
Install MARS software via RS232 cable
3.2. We connected one end of the cable to our computer and the jack to our
decorated RS232 connector, which we kept closed for now.
3.3. Now let's get our "recovery file", here I leave you a link and copy it first to
our computer's desktop, then to a pendrive, once we copy it, we connect it to
Our deco's USB port (even closed).
3.4. We open the tool provided by GTMedia, I will give you a link here, we will
find something like this:
1）. In the serial port, we will select the port assigned to our cable.
2）. In the selection box, we will select the option that contains the V8X.
3）. In Choose File, we choose "Recover File" on the desktop.
4）. Finally mark to check all code.
5). We have the program ready waiting for us to press the OK button, we press
it and then we turn on deco, the program detects it and it just does the whole
thing.
3.5 At this point our deco must have started normally, so we close the
application, shut down the deco and disconnect the cable and flash drive.
3.6 One way or another, this will lead us to install a firmware from which we
can install new MARS firmware without any problems.
To make sure this is the case, we just need to check that the version
information is correct
