and practicing new skills of paper that contains real-life scenario and then they will use fractions to
#2 solve the problems.

1. You and your friends ordered a large pizza with 8 slices. If you eat 3
slices, what fraction of the pizza did you eat? Write your answer as a
fraction in simplest form.

2. You have 12 candies, and you want to share them equally among 4
friends. How many candies does each friend get? Write your answer as a
fraction in simplest form.

3. A cake is divided into 6 equal slices. If you eat 2 slices, what fraction of
the cake did you eat? Write your answer as a fraction in simplest form.

4. If you have 3/4 of a box of candies and your friend gives you another 1/4
of the box, how many candies do you have in total? Write your answer as a
fraction in simplest form.

STEPS IN ADDING AND SUBTRACTING SIMILAR AND DISSIMILAR

FRACTIONS.
● First, we need to get the LCD (least common denominator) of
the given denominators.
● Then, divide the LCD to denominators and multiply it to the
given numerators.
● After that, having the same denominator because of LCD we can
add the new numerators that we got.
