The DMU eVo series combines the flexibility of high-tech universal milling machines and the perfor-
mance potential of vertical machining centres. In doing so, the innovative machine concept with an
optimised gantry, the optional linear drive in the X and Y-axes and the proven swivelling rotary table
provide maximum productivity and flexibility. The NC swivelling rotary table with a large swivelling
range of -5° to +110° enables 5-axis simultaneous machining for best surface qualities and extends
the options of this machine in all manufacturing areas – both in complete processing of individual
parts and in series production.

Excellent working area concept


based on optimised gantry design
Due to the low overhang of the axes, the machine concept of the DMU eVo series offers the highest level
of stability and rigidity over the entire travel range, which enables a very high level of long-term accuracy.
Furthermore, the arrangement of the Y-slides and the round cabin provide an optimal access to the working
area. The good access to the working area from the front is also permanently ensured in combination with
a handling system. The excellent ergonomics of the machine are demonstrated in the low depth of interven-
tion and the optimal loading height. The position of the tool magazine on the left side and the realisation of
the chain carrier enable an almost identical footprint regardless of the magazine size.

The DMU eVo series convinces with its compact machine design in combination with a large working area
in the field of 5-axis machining. In this context, the DMU 40 eVo, with a footprint of only 5.77 m2, is able to
machine complex components with a diameter of up to 550 mm and a weight of 250 kg. A huge advantage of
the DMU eVo series is the position of the machining table, which allows the operator to have a permanent
view of the machined workpiece.
