CLASS PLAN: SECOND SEMESTER

Purpose of the Subject:

At the end of the second semester, the students will use the elements of language to express the activities they are doing
now and did, share and request personal information from other people with simple phrases and tasks that require a
simple and direct exchange of information of their environment and immediate needs. In addition, they will continue
practicing the language skills to achieve an efficient interaction with students and to promote the collaborative work with
others.

Trajectory Learnings:

• L2: Understands simple past tense verbs in English when listen and identifies the differences in phonemes.
Understands the main idea of an oral conversation and identifies the verbal tense they communicate in based on simple
vocabulary about past events or plans. Can comprehend simple questions that request information about specific
situations, such as recreational activities, holidays, historical events, comparisons, or plans. Interprets oral information
received in a basic way, provided that the interlocutor speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to cooperate.

• S2: Understands and communicates orally using basic expressions and verb tenses correctly according to the given
context. Participates in conversations in a simple manner. Asks and answers simple questions with very brief
expressions, prepared in advance.

• R2: Understands simple written texts of very common use. Recognizes basic words and phrases about actions that
are happening at the moment of speaking, happened at a specific moment in the past, or are intended to take place.
Identifies meanings from written information expressed in texts. Understands the general idea of simple texts on
specific topics. Can access to short and simple written texts that provide the experiential enjoyment of reading.

• W2: Writes sentences or short texts considering aspects such as sentence structure; spelling and punctuation rules; the
verb tense in which the action occurs and appropriate time phrases; and connectors to give sequence to the text.

Classroom Rules:

• Keep you informed about the activities of the course.


• Listen and follow directions to make the activities according to requirements, read the evaluation instruments to
develop them.
• Always bring the requested material to be able to work during the class. The notebook will be available on the “Coyote
Virtual” platform in PDF format for you to download, print, and bind later. Add your identification details on the cover.
NOTE: If the notebook is not bound, loose sheets will not be evaluated.
• The activities of the notebook must be done and delivered in class; they will be stamped by your teacher. After that time,
they will not be accepted.
• Plagiarized assignments will receive a grade of zero and are not eligible for resubmission.
• To take the partial exam, the student must have an 80% attendance and have submitted their notebook activities and
projects; otherwise, they will lose 40% of their grade.
• Do not use the cellphone and headphones in class unless the teacher request. If you use them without permission, you
will get a report.
• Do not use bad words in class or you get a report.
• Arrive on time to the class. You have 10 minutes of tolerance to arrive to the classroom but if you arrive after that time, you
lose your attendance point of that day.
• Justify when you do not attend to class. If you missed the class, your activities will be accepted with the orientation
guidance note.
• At the end of the English course, there will not be extra activities to approve the subject.

Final Project
Imagine that you are presenters and reporters for a
news program. You will be divided into equitable
teams, and each team will represent a section of
the program, considering what you have learned
during the course. In other words, you will use
grammar and vocabulary accordingly.

For example, there will be a section on interesting


facts about a celebrity, and to present it, you
should use the past simple. Also, for the weather
section, you should use future tense forms.

Your presentation needs to be well-planned and


organized because you will record it for the final
evidence.

you have any questions, ask your teacher.
