Roles & Responsibilities
The OG Station Senior site engineer will be in charge of the Civil and Structural works for the Station. His main missions will be: - Write the construction documents for the over ground substructure activities (procedures, MSF, execution and inspection sheets, final file, etc…). - Review and comment the methods documents related to his works: road books, general sequences… - Manage the interfaces with the other departments of the project - Follow the order of the specific tools from tender stage to delivery and assembly with the help of the methods (formworks, access towers…) - Follow order of specific supplies in order ensure the delivery on time - Ensure that standard Purchase requests done by superintendent / site engineer are delivered on time - Ensure that the construction schedule is well known and followed. Alert for any risk of slippage. - Prepare and submit the 4 weeks look ahead schedule to the Station manager - Implement construction strategy, quality, safety and environment policy and objectives in line with EFJV strategy and achieve targeted performance objectives. - Manage his construction team creating an atmosphere of co-operation and openness to facilitate smooth execution of the project. - Follow with HR labor mobilization according to work schedule - Ensure that project installations complies with the health and safety regulations. - Ensure that equipment provided by subcontractors is in sound operating and safety condition, and meets the required needs, including checking the validity of monitoring, maintenance, regulatory inspection documents and retaining copies. - Check that pre start meeting are done every morning and recorded - Check that every staff and worker have been inducted to the specific job they are working on through pre task meeting, and that record is available. - Give to the construction team the correct documents and drawings up-to-date required to perform the work, and control that good version “IFC” are used on site - Ensure that documentation available on site are always up-to-date: work procedures, ITP, MSF…
- Help the Quality department to prepare the Execution Tracing Files - Lead regular meetings with the HSE, Quality, Technical and Construction teams in order to review the site progress, to ensure better coordination and to keep channels of communication open. - Develop and drive continuous improvement including cost issue. - Recommends cost optimization initiatives to his supervisor. - Ensure that daily reports are done and submitted to OG construction manager. - Records areas of concern, lessons learned on a continuous basis for monthly reviews. - Ensure proper documentation by recording events leading to a change in the project schedule from the execution, commercial and contractual points of view.
