Paryayas (Rounds) and Transits in Nadi Astrology

This passage explains Paryayas (planetary cycles) and Transits (planetary movements) used
in Nadi Astrology to predict life events.

1. Jupiter's Paryayas:

 Jupiter takes 12 years to complete a zodiac cycle (one Paryaya).


 Each year, Jupiter moves to a new sign (transit).
 The first 12 years (first Paryaya) focus on growth, mind, and health.
 Subsequent Paryayas are associated with different life stages:
o Second Paryaya (13-24 years): Teenage years, transition from childhood.
o Third Paryaya (25-36 years): Education, career exploration.
o Fourth Paryaya (37-48 years): Family focus, raising children.
o Fifth Paryaya (49-60 years): Stability, acquiring property, vehicles.
o Sixth Paryaya (61-72 years): Health concerns, potential financial issues.
o Seventh Paryaya (73-84 years): Potential for depression, need for family
support.

2. Calculating Paryaya Length based on Birth Position:

 The remaining degrees in Jupiter's sign at birth determine the starting point of the next
Paryaya.
 Example: Jupiter at 20 degrees in a sign at birth indicates 10 degrees (1/3) remaining
in that sign.
o The second Paryaya in the next sign (Sagittarius) starts after 4 years (10
degrees * 12/30).
 Retrograde Jupiter: Some astrologers adjust calculations for retrograde Jupiter, but the
author finds accurate predictions without it.

3. Transits and Paryayas Combined:

 Favorable transits of Jupiter combined with good planetary combinations in the birth

6. Importance of Karakatwas:

 Karakatwas are significations of planets. Understanding them is crucial for

o Saturn: Profession

o Mercury: Education, business, intelligence
