Control Room Engineer November 2021 to Present

 Responsible for the start-ups and shutdowns of boiler, turbine, generator and its auxiliaries, as well as
unit synchronization to the grid.
 Record, monitor and evaluate operating system parameters such as temperatures, pressures, tank
levels and flow trend curves. Make necessary recommendations to the Shift Supervisor for optimum
boiler/turbine performance and to prevent plant breakdowns.

 Monitor and interpret DCS alarm indications of equipment malfunctions and coordinate with the Shift
Supervisor and Auxiliary Operator for alarm rectification.

 Operate the control systems of the power plant substation equipment and HV/LV switchgear during
plant maintenance activities, emergency situations or as required.
  Troubleshoot any plant abnormalities during the shift and initiate remedial measures to prevent
unnecessary downtimes/breakdowns.

 Communicate with the load plant dispatchers to regulate and coordinate line voltages, transmission
loads and frequencies at normal plant operation.

 Coordinate with all personnel concerned/affected during plant equipment maintenance, servicing and
testing.

 Assist in the implementation of the plant’s policies, SOPs, safety procedures, good housekeeping,
energy conservation guidelines and environmental regulations.

Auxiliary Plant Operator (Turbine and Boiler) September 2015 to November 2021

 Fill up the log sheets at pre-determined interval at each shift covering all duty equipment auxiliaries and
monitoring gauges and instrument outside of the plant control room.
 Collect and evaluate actual data and information’s from Operation’s and check for any deviation from
established operating parameters set both for this operation. Promptly informs Shift Supervisor and
Control Room Engineer for any deviation and take necessary actions to correct it.
 Closely coordinate with the Control Room Engineer during actual change-over of major plant equipment
and system auxiliaries following the established schedule and SOPs.
 Initiate initial assessment and/or trouble-shooting of malfunctioned equipment during operation.
 Report promptly to immediate superior all problems observed and encountered during operations and
seek immediate assistance from maintenance personal if problems at hand cannot be fixed.
 Maintains good housekeeping and 5S practices with its area of concern at all times.
 Closely coordinate with the Control Room Engineer during Start-up and shut downs of all plant
equipment and system auxiliaries following established SOPs.
 Perform other functions as may be assigned from time to time such as but not limited to tasks related to
the job; projects and other improvement activities within the department or in coordination with other
sections, functions of the position/s if undergoing multi-skilling or cross training and other committee
functions in case designated.
