Level Transmitter

The document describes how to calculate the LRV, URV, and span of a level transmitter installed on a vessel using a condensate pot. It provides the elevation heights, specific gravities of the vessel liquid and condensate pot, and shows the step-by-step calculations to determine these transmitter parameters.

Description :

- Elevation 1850 mm representative of HHLL (High High Level) and 100 % of Level Measurement Point
- Elevation 150 mm representative of LLLL (Low Low Level) and 0 % of Level Measurement Point
- DP Transmitter installed on Vessel with Wet Leg Calculation method and using Condensate Pot
- Low Side of Transmitter filled by Water through Condensate Pot
- SG Liquid of Vessel = 0.98
- SG Liquid of Condensate Pot = 1

What is the LRV, URV & Span of Level Transmitter.?

Step 1-Find out C-C Nozzle Distance of Transmitter Installation
LEVEL GAUGE Step 2-Calculate Span of Level Measurement
Step 3-Calculate Span of Level Transmitter
CONDENSATE POT Step 4-Calculate LRV & URV of Level Transmitter

Step 1
C-C Nozzle Distance = Y - LLLL
= 1950 mm - 150 mm
= 1800 mm

Step 2
Span of Level Measurement = (HHLL - LLLL)
= (1850 mm - 150 mm)
= 1700 mm

Step 3
Span of Level Transmitter = Span of Level Measurement x SG Liquid of Vessel
= 1700 mm x 0.98
= 1666 mmh2o

Step 4
DP TRANSMITTER LRV = Pressure High Side of Transmitter - Pressure Low Side of Transmitter
= (0 % Level Measurement Point x SG Liquid of Vessel) - (C-C Nozzle Distance x SG Liquid of Condensate Pot)
= (0 mm x 0.98) - (1800 mm x 1)
= 0 mmh2o - 1800 mmh2o
= -1800 mmh2o

URV = Pressure High Side of Transmitter - Pressure Low Side of Transmitter
= (100 % of Level Measurement Point x SG Liquid of Vessel) - (C-C Nozzle Distance x SG Liquid of Condensate Pot)
= (1700 mm x 0.98) - (1800 mm x 1)
= 1666 mmh2o - 1800 mmh2o
= -134 mmh2o
