SENIOR DATA ENGINEER

Location : Hyderabad/Bangalore/Gurugram

Type of Work : Hybrid

Role and responsibilities

• The Data Engineer will be responsible for design, development, deployment, and
maintenance of Data Warehousing stack on AWS
• Work with data architects and other data engineers to build data pipelines using ETL
tools such as Airflow, Glue, etc.
• Develop custom data ingestion jobs using Python/Spark scripts and deploy them on
serverless architectures such as AWS Lambda, etc.
• Perform data modelling and schema design activities in Data Lake and Data Warehouse
environments as per the standard practices
• Collaborate closely with BI and products teams to assist with data related technical issues
and support their data infrastructure needs

Your profile must have

• 5+ years of experience in building data pipelines and data warehouse architectures on


cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure and GCP
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, able to
write/debug complex SQL queries
• Experience in developing Python or Spark jobs
• Strong understanding of data modelling principles
• Good communication and collaborative skills

Extra points if you have

• Built processes supporting data transformations, data structures and workload


management in Database/Data Warehouse
• Experience implementing Redshift and AirFlow instances on AWS architectures
• Experience in performance tuning of Redshift databases and implement
recommendations
• Experience with sourcing data using APIs from external systems
• Experience in building data pipelines using any of CI/CD tools
• Experience working with teams across the globe, in a fast-paced, high-tech and customer-
obsessed environment
