Overview Changing environment needs the improvement and advancement of knowledge


within individuals. At this part of 21st century literacies, various literacies are
presented to provide ideas in understanding the skills needed by learners and the
community. Financial literacy is a process through which an individual (or a family)
gains a basic understanding of banking, savings, and the importance of good credit.
It increases the likelihood that low- or moderate-income individuals or families will be
able to buy a home or start a small business — and encourages economic stability in
a given community. When developing financial literacy training, the topics covered
will necessarily reflect the unique needs of the audience as determined by needs
assessment. This practice lists many topics commonly included in money
management or financial literacy curricula. In addition, digital literacy is the ability to
navigate various digital platforms and understand, assess and communicate through
them. It relates to the ability to find, use and create information online in a beneficial
and useful way. It also means knowing the limitations of technology and
understanding the dangers and precautions that the use of technology requires. On
the other side, eco literacies present the importance of environment in achieving
development of institutions that is essential for everyone. Lastly, artistic and Creative
literacy connects both personality and meaningful works of an individual. Text,
symbols, signs, etc. encourage the engagement of cognitive and creative skills that
lead to comprehension of what is being presented. It provides benefits which is very
essential to the people of all ages.
Targets/ Objectives
 Equips students with the knowledge and skills they need in order to success
on information age;
 Practice the skills that are needed in order to engage with the digital world
responsibly and effectively;
 Appreciate the importance of environmental knowledge in changing society;
and
 Distinguish among visual literacy, eye/hand/brain literacy, verbal creativity,
visual creativity and aesthetics

Target Activities  PSTs will be oriented on how to make a financial plan that works for them.
 Video-Making or Video Presentation
 An extension activity could be planned for the students to do their share in
preserving the environment
 PSTs will work individually on a project showcasing their creativity. This can
be an avenue for PSTs to design materials using recyclables.

Assessment  Planner Making. Create own Financial Plan for the first semester of school
year 2020-2021.
 20 item test. The facilitator will administer a 20-item quiz to assess students
learning about the topic after discussions.
 Essay. Defend that awareness in environmental issues are essential for the
21st century learners.
 Creativity Listing. List at least 10 interesting and unusual uses as possible
for a cardboard box in a ½ crosswise. Consider the following for your ideas:
(1) originality (ability to produce uncommon ideas), (2) flexibility (ability to
generate more different kinds of ideas), and (3) fluency (ability to generate
more meaningful ideas).
