I. Usage (Cách dùng)
 Diễn tả một hành động, sự việc diễn ra thường xuyên, lặp đi lặp lại hay một thói quen.
 Diễn tả một sự thật hiển nhiên, một chân lý.
 Diễn tả sự việc sẽ xảy xa theo lịch trình, thời gian biểu rõ ràng.
 Diễn tả suy nghĩ, cảm xúc, cảm giác.
 Nói về khả năng của ai đó.

II. Form (Công thức)

1. Động từ kết thúc bằng “s, ss, x, o , ch , sh “ + “es”
Example: watch -> watches / kiss -> kisses / brush -> bruhses

2. Động từ kết thúc bằng “y”

* Đứng trước “y” là nguyên âm “u , e , o , a ,i” + “s”

Example: play -> plays / pay -> pays / lay -> lays

* Đứng trước “y” là phụ âm -> bỏ “y” thêm “ies”

Example: fly -> flies / cry -> cries

3. Còn lại không trong trường hợp (1) và (2) + “s”

Example : read -> reads / listen -> listens

- Riêng động từ HAVE biến đổi thành HAS.
