Devsu’s Selection Process

Hi there!
We would like to share with you a detailed picture of what you can expect during our selection
process:

1) Testing phase: You will receive between 2-4 emails (depending on the role you applied
for) with evaluations that measure:
Test 1 - Abstract Reasoning and Attention & focus Assessments
Test 2 - Benchmark Games: Game-based assessment that is designed to match your profile
with the role that suits you best, based on behavioral science.
Test 3 - English Test: From the platform CodinGame.
Test 4 - Technical Assessment (varies based on the role for which you applied): From the
platform CodinGame.
*Each test will take you anywhere from 20 minutes to 1:15 hours to complete. Ideally, we
would like you to complete ALL the tests within a week of your application submission.

A few notes and tips regarding our Tests/Assessments:


We designed our tests to stretch you to your limits. Please:
● Sleep well before taking the assessments. Believe us, this is important.
● If you think you didn't do well on a test, don't be discouraged. They are designed to
be difficult. Please continue with the next ones, as we consider your overall profile
and all the results for determining if you pass to the next phase.
● We have open positions both for English-speaking and Spanish-speaking
candidates. If you don't do well in the English test, we can move you to a job that
does not require strong English skills.
Please, play fair.
Be in a quiet environment, and resolve the tests by yourself. We have some mechanisms to
detect that someone else is helping you.
We reserve the right to disqualify a candidate immediately when our heuristics find any
cheating clues.
Assessments
● Multiple-choice questions: Respond to what you know. If unsure, choose the answer
that makes more sense, but DO NOT LEAVE the test environment for googling the
questions. The system can detect such actions, and we reserve the right to adjust
your score accordingly. Repetitive behavior will lead to disqualification.
● Programming questions: You can use Google or any external resource (language
documentation, etc.), as you would typically do when resolving programming
exercises. But consider that Googling for a specific implementation of the problem
will lead to disqualification.

2) Automated Video Interview: If you advance past the Testing Phase, we will send you
an automated Video Interview, where you will record yourself answering challenging
questions about the role you applied for. Also, keep in mind that:
● We need your camera turned on during the whole duration of the interview.
● Respond by yourself, don't google your responses, as it will lead to disqualification.
*The video interview will take you approximately 20-40 minutes to complete.

3) Additional Client Interviews or Assessments: Once we review your video


interview, we will decide if you passed our internal selection process. Depending on the
position and the client to which you would be assigned, we will either make a direct offer or
we could require you to attend additional interviews or complete separate client-specific
assessments before we extend you an offer.

4) Waiting List: If you pass our selection process, it is possible that there will be a wait time
before we can extend you an offer. We are actively looking for clients that will be great fits for
our candidates, however, sometimes there are no immediate matches, and in those cases,
we will place you in our “Approved” database, and we will contact you as soon as we have
the perfect client for your profile. In the meantime, you will have a meeting with one of our
dedicated recruiters to get to know you better and answer your questions regarding our
company and the role.

5) Salary: Our salaries seek to meet the expectations of candidates, taking into account their
performance on tests, experience, and level of English. We try to validate each candidate's
expectations, and only if we can achieve them will we move forward in the process.
