1. This office announces the conduct of 2018 DISTRICT KINDERGARTEN FESTIVAL OF


TALENTSwhich will be held on September 14, 208 at Northville IV Elementary School
Lambakin, Marilao, Bulacan.

2. These activities aim to:


a. showcase the potentials of our kindergarten children to strengthen their
confidence and self-esteem;
b. enhance the quality standards of 5-year old children as identified in the activities;
and
c. ensure that the physical, social, emotional, intellectual and spiritual personalities
of young children are developed.

3. The Contest categories are as follows:


a. Poem Recitation
b. Coloring
c. Creative Story Telling
d. Draw and Tell
e. Math-Tinik and
f. Vocal Solo

4. Participants should be currently enrolled as kindergarten pupils in public schools.

5. A contestant is allowed to participate in only one category.

6. Enclosure No.1 is the Training Matrix, Work Committee and List of Judges and Proctors.

7. EnclosureNo.2 contains the Criteria for Judging.

8. Expenses to be incurred incidental to the seminar shall be charged against the local
funds subject to usual auditing rules and regulation.

9. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.

CRITERIA

1. POEM RECITATION

Each contestant will recite a poem of their choice piece in Filipino within 2-5 minutes
including entrance and exit.

a. Voice Clarity 25%


b. Diction 20%
c. Interpretation 20%
d. Mastery 30%
e. Costume 5%
Total 100%

2. COLORING

Each contestant will be given a copy of the picture in A4 size which they will color using
crayons.
Contestants will bring their own coloring materials. (Crayola Brand-single, small)
Participants will be given a maximum of 45 minutes to finish their work.

a. Work habits 20%


b. Neatness 30%
c. Color Harmony 40%
d. Aesthetic Value 10%
Total 100%

3. CREATIVE STORY TELLING

Each contestant will be given 3-5 minutes to deliver the piece of their own choice.
The winner will be chosen by the panel of judges based on the criteria below:

a. Mastery of the piece 30%


b. Voice Projection/ Verbal Style 25%
c. Expression/ Distinct style 25%
d. Level of Confidence 15%
e. Costume/ Attire 5%
Total 100%

4. DRAW AND TELL

Each contestant will draw on 1 sheet of oslo paper using pencil and crayons ( maximum
of 45 minutes )
Contestants will bring their own materials for the contest. (Oslo paper, Crayola brand
small, single and pencil )
The Drawing should depict the theme: “Ang Pista sa aming Bayan”

a. Relevance to the theme 25%


b. Creativity 25%
c. Color harmony 20%
d. Neatness 10%
e. Presentation 20%
Total 100%

5. MATH TINIK
One contestant per school will participate for the Math tinik category. Participants will
bring their own tangrams.
There are 3 rounds to complete the contest category: Easy, average and difficult. Point
system will be 1 point for easy, 2 points for average and 3 points for difficult.
Participants will be tasked to arrange the tangrams based on the given figure and time.
(easy round 60 seconds per figure, Average round – 90 seconds per figure, Difficult
round- 120 seconds per figure)
Participants who will get the highest rank will be declared as winner.
In case of tie, clincher round will be given.

6. VOCAL SOLO COMPETITION

Each contestant is free to choose any song appropriate to children.


Performance time is 3-5 minutes including entrance and exit.
Minus-one music or live piano or guitar can be used as accompaniment; however,
contestants are allowed to sing without accompaniment.

e. Stage Presence 15%
