To install Studio/Robot on the operating machine, navigate to the “Home” page and download the
latest version from the upper right side of the page – by clicking on “Download Studio”
To license Users, there are two licensing scenarios you can find yourself in:
To allocate Robot/Service licenses, keep in mind you cannot allocate robot/service licenses from the
Licenses page when using the legacy license management model. Considering this, please follow the steps below (for
more details, please visit https://docs.uipath.com/automation-cloud/docs/allocating-robot-service-licenses-to-tenants):
1. Using the Licenses Page to Assign Licenses
a. On the Licenses page, make sure you are on the Robots & Services tab.
b. On the License Allocation to Tenants section, click Allocate Licenses for the tenant you wantto allocate
licenses to. The Allocate Licenses to Tenant window is displayed showing a list of the services enabled in the
tenant, and the number of already allocated licenses, alongside the number of available licenses.
c. Increase/decrease the number of licenses and then click Save to save the changes.
II. Using the Tenants Page to Assign Licenses
a. On the Tenants page, click Edit license allocation at the right of the tenant row.
The Allocate licenses to tenant panel opens, showing the licenses that are currently allocated for the tenant.
Only robot licenses (in the Orchestrator section) and licenses for the services you have activated in this tenant are
displayed in this window, grouped by the service.
b. Edit the values to change how many licenses of each type to allocate to this tenant.
The maximum number of licenses available for each type is displayed under the field. If you don't have enough
licenses, you can redistribute licenses across your tenants to see if you canfree up any (see details for the
legacy or current license management model)
C . When finished, click Save at the bottom. The tenant status changes to Updating while the newlicense
settings are applied. Click Refresh at the top right of the Tenants page if the status doesn't change shortly to
either Enabled or Failed.
If you have more licenses allocated in your organization than provided by your licensing plan, a warning banner is displayed. The
license excess is visible on the Home page and all Admin pages. This can happen if the number of purchased licenses
decreased since you last assigned licenses to your users/tenants. To solve this, decrease the number of service/robot licenses
allocated to your tenants. Make sure the number of licenses in use in the service matches the number of allocated licenses,
otherwise you'll end up in a service level overallocation state.
If you have more licenses in use in a particular service than allowed by its current license configuration, the Home and License
pages in that service shows the number of excess licenses on top of the service's total. This can happen if an organization
administrator allocates fewer licenses to a service than the number of licenses currently in use. To solve this, in crease the number
of service/robot licenses allocated to the tenant to match the number of licenses that are in use in the service, or unassign the
licenses from the service.
To connect a Robot to Orchestrator, please follow the steps below:
When deploying multiple Standard Robots from the same machine on Orchestrator, you need to have
the same Machine Name and Machine Key for each. To retain the values in the fields, you can click
Create Another in the Add Robot window. Alternatively, you can copy the Machine Name and Machine Key
from an already deployed Robot by clicking More Actions >Duplicate
*The High-Density Robots feature only works if the same machine name and key are used when
registering each Robot per user.
!! If you have purchased Robot Units, please follow the below guideline to configure Automation Cloud
robots
2. Once licenses are allocated to the tenant please follow further steps to configure Automation cloud robot:
