Wordle

Wordle is a web-based puzzle game designed to fill the curiosity of imaginative sharp minds. The game
was developed by Josh Wardle, and published by The New York Times Company. In the start, Wardle
created the game only for him and his friend. The game was made public by the end of 2021 in October.
The game was very much licked by the general public and the addition of a new feature that allowed
players to copy their daily results as emoji squares made the game rise immensely in popularity by
December 2021 and it was widely shared on the Internet. The game was purchased by New York Times
in seven figures with the aim to make it free for all players.

Every day a five-letter word is selected which is aimed to be guessed by the players based upon their
curiosity and interest. After a letter is guessed each one is marked in three different couture either
Green, Yellow, or Grey.

 Green indicates that the letter guessed by the player is correct and in the correct position
 Yellow indicates the letter is in the answer but not in the correct position
 Grey indicates the letter is not in the answer

The letter selected every day is the same for everyone. However, the game allows the player to go for a
hard mode which requires players to select green and yellow letters in subsequent guesses. The game
also supports various use-friendly features, including a dark theme and a mode for colour-blind
individuals the change the colour scheme of the game from Green and yellow to orange and blue.

Each daily game uses a word randomly selected from a list of 2,315 words. These are very few as
compared to almost 12000 five-letter words in the English language. This small list of letters was
selected by Wardle's partner. She characterized the words into those she might know, those she knew,
and those she did not know. The game uses all the words in American spelling giving the American
players a slight edge, for example in the case of the word color.

The game is almost similar to the game Jotto a 1955 pen and paper game and the game show franchise
Lingo. The game is also similar to the board game Word Mastermind, and the game Bulls and Cows.
Many similar copies of the game were created in various versions in languages besides English.

Nerdle

This game is designed on a similar model of Wordle but it’s specifically for number lovers.
Players try to guess a new calculation each day. Rules of Wordle are also applied, correct
numbers are coloured as green, while magenta colour means the number is in the calculation
but not on the right spot however, black colour represents the number is incorrect. The answers
are only a single-digit making the game easier for players by narrowing down the list of answers.
Three different puzzles are released every day and released at midnight GMT. We can say that
 Wordle is equivalent to Wordle for math fans. Players get six tries to guess the numbers in eight
tiles. Nerdle is an online web game player who can play on the website. Players also get the
opportunity to create their own Nerdle game and share it with friends.

Quordle

Quordle is a spinoff of Wordle for those who want to challenge their linguistic skills at a more
challenging level. Quordle can be defined as Wordle quadrupled. However, the principles of the
game remain the same. Like in Wordle players guess a five-letter word each day in Quordle
players guess four, five-letter words each day in order to win it. The number of guesses also
varies in both the games Wordle allows six guesses for one five-letter word while Quordle allows
 nine guesses for guessing four five-letter words, this makes the game much more difficult but
fun to play for players that love guessing words.

A new map is available every day for the players to guess the country. The game is best for
players who want to fulfill their curiosity about geography. The game provides a refresher of the
country’s shapes, names, and locations for those who haven’t been paying much attention to
their geography class. The game provides the player with a map every day for them to guess, the
country. Every player has six guesses and after every guess the game tells players how close they
 are to the correct answer in kilometers, and the correct direction of the country from the one
you have guessed. With all this help the scope of the search is narrowed down and then you can

Waffle
This game is a treat for those who love crossword puzzles. The game is basically drag and drop
letters to complete the words. The game provides players with an already grid filled with letters.
However, most of the letters are in incorrect locations players have to solve six different words
by selecting and dropping letters in the correct places in the grid rather than typing them. The
letters are coloured as green or yellow depending upon their location green represents that the
letters are in the correct arrangement and the yellow represents incorrect arrangements players
have only 15 moves to bring all the letters in the correct arrangement. However, most of the
 games can be completed in just 10 moves. In Waffle, players have to select the letters they want
to swap carefully so that both the letters end up in the right location. The game is like a tiny

CrossWordle:
Unlike Wordle in which players get a new word each day, players can play this game as much as
they like. The game is built on the similar concept of Wordle but the concept is just reversed.
 The gameplay is simple but challenging invoking the creativity of players. The game provides the
player with answers automatically at the bottom the player’s job is to complete the words grid
by placing letters in the right and wrong locations. The green colour represents that it needs a
letter in the right place, yellow needs a letter in the wrong place, and Grey means the letter is
not in the puzzle. The game is pretty tricky, but very interesting, which challenges players to
think of incorrect words that are perfectly fit the given parameters. The game provides players
with various modes from easy to medium, and hard based upon their expertise.

Squareword:
 This game is also set on the same Prince of word puzzle as Wordle. The main difference is the
number of guesses and the number of words to be guessed. In square words, players get a total
of 15 guesses to find 10 words. This challenge seems like a difficult one but there are a few plus
points for the players. The Squareword runs both across and down, so each letter the players
pick appears in both directions. There is also a huge bonus for players a column on the right
shows the letters players have guessed wrong, this will narrow down the range for players to
select. This game appears to be dull and difficult to play but once the players have diverted their
minds in both directions the game feels fun and addictive. It invokes the creativity and curiosity
of players at the same time and broadens their perspective to search for new words that can be

Squabble:
It is the same as Wordle but with a multiplayer feature. Players can jump
into the fun with their friends and play it as much times as they want.
 Multiplayer is pretty much fun to play in the sense that each player has a
health bar. The health in the health bar depends upon your guesses. Each
wrong guess lowers your health, and each correct answer heals you. The
game can be played in two modes. One is the Blitz mode for 2-5 players and
the other is battle royale mode which can support up to 99 players. Players
who Run out of their health are eliminated, and the last one standing wins
the game. Players can see their opponent's progress and their health bar
making the game much more interesting.

Weredle
Unlike Wordle, this game is made pretty much challenging by adding the factor of bluff. In
Wordle, the correct and incorrect tiles are represented as they are but here in Weredle, one tile
is always the werewolf. The werewolf tile might lie to you giving you a false positive making the
game a challenge for the player’s nerves. After every guess players get a werewolf tile. So,
players must have to keep in mind that there is always a chance that one of the letters is
incorrect. If players can guess the werewolf tile correctly then they can re-guess the correct
letter in the tile. However, there is a time limit so players must give to guess the werewolf and
correct letter within the given time to complete the puzzle and win the round.
