The Laws of the Strike
Before training with the FUNPUNCH, there are important details you
should know:
V
VI
THE PUNCHING FUNDAMENTALS
The jab is a straightforward, direct punch thrown from the lead hand
(the non-dominant hand for most)
A good jab is lightning-fast and has cobra-like precision, with the ability
to catch opposition no matter how fast they move.
The beauty of the jab lies in its versatility. It can serve multiple purposes,
making it one of the most crucial tools in your arsenal:
Warming up for 2-3 minutes with pure, simple jabs at the start of every
training session with the Rage Bag. You will see how your timing and
precision will increase over time.
FUN FACT
Did you know that in 2015, British boxer Anthony Joshua,
known for his powerful punches, set a remarkable record?
He knocked out opponent Raphael Zumbano Love with a
jab in just 83 seconds! That's the speed and precision of a
world-class jab.
VII
VIII
Straight punches are extremely potent. They generate deadly power that
comes from within the core. Mastering these punches is like channeling
a controlled explosion—raw, focused, and impactful.
Your jab is the machine gun (spray and pray), whereas the straight is your
sniper rifle.
Do not miss the straight punch, or you will be exposed. That which
generates great power, comes with flaws.
When throwing straights with the Rage-Bag, focus on your form and
technique mainly. Keep your punches compact, swift and sharp. To
generate the most power, twist your hips. Believe it or not, but most of
your punching power comes from your legs.
FUN FACT
Conor McGregor's 13-second knockout of José Aldo in 2015
made him a two-weight division champion and remains
the fastest knockout in UFC title fight history, highlighting
the precision and power of the straight punch.
IX
X
The hook is a punch of finesse and power, taking a curved trajectory
that requires technique, timing, and precision. Super deadly when landed
correctly - often called the knockout punch.
When throwing hooks with the Rage-Bag, focus on your torque mainly.
Generating that twist from your legs, to your abdomen, into your swing.
Feel the flow of energy so that the point of release is all directed towards
the impact of your fist and the Rage-Bag
FUN FACT
In 1986, Mike Tyson's left hook earned him the nickname
'Iron Mike' when he knocked out Trevor Berbick in the
second round, becoming the youngest heavyweight
champion at just 20 years old.
XI
Thrown from the lower body, right into the opponent's chin to deliver a
sudden and forceful blow - The uppercut can end fights quick.
It has the precision to break through guards as you are able to find
“secret routes” in dodgy angles to penetrate vulnerable points.
The nature of the uppercut makes it less predictable and harder for
opponents to anticipate, making it a great tool for surprising your adversary.
When using the Rage-Bag, for uppercuts, stick the bag to a vertical wall
and place it at head level. This way you can weave underneath the bag,
visioning it to be an opposition's head.
FUN FACT
Muhammad Ali's legendary uppercut played a pivotal
role in his historic victory over George Foreman during
the 'Rumble in the Jungle' in 1974. This strategic use of
the uppercut helped Ali reclaim the heavyweight title and
showcased the finesse and power behind this punch.

THE COMBOS
Once you have gotten the hang of the basic punches, you will start to
understand their mechanics, power, and reach. They will start to feel
more natural.
From here onwards, you can start fusing them together, finding the flow
from one punch to another. Allow yourself to move around the bag,
adapting and adjusting as you throw your strikes.
This sequence of punches are called combinations.
Combos are absolutely essential to every fighter.
One of the remarkable aspects of the Rage-Bag is its ability to
accommodate a limitless array of combinations. From basic one-two
punches to intricate sequences involving uppercuts, hooks, and crosses,
the possibilities are truly boundless. You can experiment, innovate, and
find the rhythm that suits you best.
Here are some combos you must learn in order of difficulty:

FLOW AND RHYTHM
In the world of boxing and martial arts, mastering the art of flow and
rhythm is seriously satisfying.
It's about finding that seamless, fluid motion that links one movement to
another, creating a mesmerizing sequence of strikes that resonate with
grace and effectiveness.
Just as a dancer finds the rhythm of the music, a fighter discovers the
rhythm in the motion of their punches.
Embracing Rhythm:
Rhythm, on the other hand, is the beat of your workout. It's the
pace, the timing, the synchronization of your movements.
Just as a song has a beat, your punching routine has
a rhythm. It's in the ebb and flow, the highs and lows,
the deliberate pause before a burst of strikes.
Rhythm in FUNPUNCH is what distinguishes a mere
punch from a powerful, well-timed blow.
XIX
XX
GROWTH
Training is easy.
The real work comes from the discipline and consistency of practicing
every single day.
If you use the rage-bag with the mindset of a champion you will transform.
Your punches will become sharper, quicker and more precise day by day.
You will start to feel the mechanics of every punch, understanding the
transfer of energy from legs to hands.
You will slowly get into the fighter's rhythm, getting into a natural flow of
ecstasy as you punch.
You will gain a sense of inner confidence with your body and mind,
walking around knowing you are able to protect yourself.
XXI
MASTER THE BODY
XXII
Why is our motto Stay Strong, why would I need to master my body and
put myself through discomfort, when relaxing on the couch being lazy
is much more comfortable. You think this? You are not a champion. The
easy option may give you short term pleasure but it will destroy you in
the future. Champions are made through pain and hard work. Steel is
forged in fire. There must be a battle for you to win, or give your all, so
when you do lose, you hold your head up high. That is what being ‘Strong’
is about. Not if you can bench 225lbs (100kg) but about putting yourself
through fire and emerging stronger. Mastering your body allows you to
perfect this craft. Life is a chain reaction, you master your body, you
master your mind, you master your life, you now have what it takes to be
a champion.
XXIII

CARDIO
Think about the most ferocious, majestic animals. The true beasts of
nature, the Champions of the wild. The Lions, the Tigers, The Gorilla. Why
are humans today the dominant species? Is it our brains? Yes of course,
our intellect is unmatched, however in the cavemen times did we have
this modern technology that keeps us safe. Did we have these big cities,
these big governments protecting us (ironic). No, it was endurance. The
art of chasing down your prey for days on end until eventually it tired out
and dinner was served. Ask yourself now, could you run for 30 minutes
straight without feeling like passing out? To be a Champion, you must
be elite in all levels. The full package. Master your cardio, you will live a
healthier fulfilled lifestyle, and the pain of pushing yourself to the limits in
that HIT workout, or that last lap in that long jog, won’t just craft an elite
body, but an elite mindset. Your mind is stronger than your body. Use it.
D JOGGING AND SWIMMING: Run, run, run and keep running. You
have it in you genetically, you would not be here, nor us, if this didn’t
propel the human species. The art of falling into that meditative
state when you run is not for the weak. 5K (3 MILES) in 20 minutes,
do that and maybe you can consider yourself a good runner.
XXV
Earth is 66% water, a territory we are not the APEX in. Nevertheless, a
brutal yet prosperous training ground when utilised properly. Swimming
stimulates every muscle in the body, if you want to master the land, take
that extra step. Full Package.
XXVI
Endurance training with the Rage-Bag:
Devastating knock out blows are the goal, and the Hollywood shot,
however, watch the average Boxing championship match. You will
see the ability to out maneuver and outlast your opponent tends to
get the job done. Being able to punch consistently without fatigue,
completely wearing you out is a skill the Ragebag can teach you.
XXVII
XXVIII
LIFT HEAVY WEIGHTS
The Lion, Tiger, Gorilla, which we mentioned earlier. What makes them
beasts of nature? The champions of their territory. Just their cardio? If
that was the case the antelope should be on the same level as them.
‘’That is not a fair comparison, they are small, they do not eat meat, they
are not predators.’ ’ Speak to the gorilla about their diet, see if you notice
any steaks in there. The reason they are beasts is the FULL PACKAGE.
Cardio and Strength. Raw power to lift heavy and to overpower their foe.
What good is running a marathon if you can’t even lift your body weight
multiple times and a heavy wind can send you across the country.
Strength is power. Champions are strong. Mike Tyson, Ronaldo, Lebron.
These are all champions who mastered cardio and strength.

Hit The Gym:
This is where the iron game comes into play. Lifting heavy weights
doesn't mean you need to become a bodybuilder or powerlifter, but
it does mean pushing your body to new limits. Progressive overload,
the core of strength training.Gradually increasing the resistance
you lift. It's not just about benching your max; it's about consistent,
gradual improvement. Isolate your upper body, lower body, and back
when you go to the gym. Split them in 3 and maintain consistency.
The power of callisthenics. Your body weight can be one of the most
challenging resistance levels. Exercises like push-ups, pull-ups, and
planks require you to lift your own body weight, and maintain complete
sovereignty over your body. The core strength which you acquire will not
only make you feel like a champ, but also gives you a chance to flex those
abs. Are you really strong if you can’t even lift your own bodyweight?
XXX
Eat a Lot of Protein:
You could train every day, eat nothing and you will see 0 results. Building
strength requires more than just lifting weights; it demands proper
nutrition. Protein is the building block of muscles. Consuming a solid
amount of protein ensures that your muscles have the raw materials
they need to repair and grow stronger after each workout. So, don't
skip your chicken, lean beef, fish, or plant-based protein sources.
The Rage-Bag:
XXXI
WARRIOR IN A GARDEN
XXXII
Once you master your body, the next step is making sure it is utilisable.
You have elite levels of cardio and have superior strength. You are now
an elite human, closer to the path of being a Champion. You are not there
yet. Picture your favourite sports car, picture the engine, the rims, the
elegance and power. Now imagine that same car, but it physically can’t
drive. This is you. You have mastered building the machine, now you must
learn how to operate it. There is a stigma to combat sports and fighting
fuelled by this agenda to weaken society.
The most capable humans are often the most nonviolent in their daily
lives. They have nothing to prove, the fighting gym has humbled them
more times than life could even attempt. To walk around as a champion
you must have the basic ability to defend yourself in the case of an
extreme situation. The world is unpredictable, but there is one recurring
factor since the dawn of human civilization. Violence. Abused by those
with everything to prove and salvaged by those who protect, and control
this emotion. If you ever go to a dog park, you may see a very small
chihuahua type dog yapping away as they do, they see a huge dog, let’s
say a Turkish Kangal. It is rare you will see the Kangal bark back. The
small dog is initiating aggression, the Kangal knows in 1 second it could
do more damage than 100 of those small chihuahuas. It chooses to
ignore it. It’s not bothered, it has the ability to destroy the dog, but does
not. It is not necessary. This is real power. This is a champion. The art of
fighting is to protect, and only use when utmost necessary. You may ask,
why would I install the skill set of violence and aggression into myself.
An ancient Chinese proverb answers this: "It's better to be a warrior in a
garden than a gardener in a war." To be a champion, and to live like one,
you must be ready for anything. When you look in that mirror, you know
what you are capable of, and even more important, you know how to
control it.
XXXIII
The effectiveness of your strikes can be the defining factor in a critical
situation. It's not just about throwing punches; it's about throwing them
with precision and power.
Punch, Kick, Grapple. The Holy Trinity. Master this triumvirate of strength.
You now possess an arsenal many can only dream off or watch from
their couch wishing they were HIM. You can be HIM. Put in that work
and train.
XXXIV

MASTER YOUR MIND
XXXVI
DISCIPLINE AND CONSISTENCY
XXXVII
XXXVIII
Champions are molded through years and decades of hard work. Rome
was not built in a day.
Being a champion isn't just about those huge, glorious moments in the
spotlight. I’m sure you have all heard of Usain Bolt and his Olympic glory.
In 3 olympics on the 100m, he spent a combined 30 seconds sprinting.
People see those 30 seconds over 12 years and admire it, but fail to see
the truly hard work and discipline that went into those 30 seconds. What
made him a champion is about what you do, day in and day out, even
when nobody's watching. It's about showing up, even when you don't
feel like it. You think the greats woke up every day with a burning desire
to train or work? No, they had days when they'd rather cozy up on the
couch, just like you and me. But guess what? They showed up anyway.
Discipline is your ability to say. No Netflix for today, I've got work to do.
I really don’t want to train today, I’m tired and want to click snooze, but I
don’t. It's that internal switch that turns on when your emotions want to
submit. Discipline makes you a master of your own ship, not a slave to
the brutal waves.
Let’s take you for example. You buy the Rage-Bag. You want better
hand eye coordination. More precision in your punches. Master your
timing. Use it once or twice and you will see little to no progress. Use
it everyday, and I guarantee you, you will have a whole different punch,
an improved sense of perception. Stop for a month? You will lose it.
Stay consistent, stay disciplined, and then reap the rewards and feel
the sense of satisfaction knowing it was not easy. No one climbs the
smallest mountain, they want Everst. Why? Because it is hard, and
people respect overcoming difficult feats, which only discipline and
consistency can achieve.
XXXIX
Discipline isn't just about grinding through the tough stuff. It's about
building something more important – character, grit, a sense of pride.
When you stick to your routine, day in and day out, you're forging an
unbreakable spirit. You're creating a version of yourself that knows who
you are and what you can do. You respect yourself. You see the others
around, slaves to their emotions, you have built a Champion, you have
a sense of pride, you are in control of yourself like no one else. Think
about your favorite superhero, their life is all about pain and overcoming
struggle. This is what builds the Champion.
XL
You want to know the real secret? The strongest, most high-achieving
humans out there aren't necessarily the smartest or the most talented.
Nope. They're the ones who've mastered the art of discipline and
consistency. They're the ones who show up, rain or shine, and put in
the work.
Read books, self educate, train, make a difference and give yourself a
purpose. Put in the work and achieve it. The more you sweat in training,
the less you bleed in war.
XLI
XLII
CHANNELING YOUR ENERGY
XLIII
them accordingly. Picture a monk in the mountains, complete peace.
Use stoicism as your mental gym, a place to exercise your emotional
muscles. Instead of being controlled by your emotions, it encourages you
to observe them, understand their origins, and choose your responses
wisely.
Through meditation and self-reflection, you can train your mind, and the
energy you give out to the world normally tends to return the favor to
you. Life is fair.
