• FORMAT & SYSTEM: Swiss system, 10 rounds - open for all legitimate Romanian and foreign
players who have FIDE ID; 15’+5’’/ player; valid tournament for Rapid Chess ELO calculation

• *Approximate time. It can start later if the tie-break for the first place is played or there is any
delay during the last playing session.

• TOTAL PRIZE FUND 30.000 EUR


o For the general ranking, the prizes will be distributed according to the Hort system
according to the number of prizes announced
o All prizes will be awarded by bank transfer to the winners' accounts within a maximum of
14 days of the end of the tournament.
o All prizes are taxable (10% of the amount exceeding 120 euro)
o If a player is not participating at the Closing Ceremony, the organizer can retain 20% of
the prize

• ENTRY FEE:

o Registration is considered completed only after the payment of the entry fee.
o Player’s entry fee is to be paid to the Organizer (Romanian Chess Federation), only after
receiving the invoice:
▪ 50 euro if payments are made before March 8th
▪ 65 euro if payments are made on March 9th or later
o The fees are non-refundable and non-transferable after March 20th
o GM, WGM – no entry fee

• ACCOMOTATION AND MEALS:

The organizers have arranged special prices for chess players.


o Hotel Parliament 4**** - breakfast included
o Deluxe rooms
o Single room – 65 euro/room/night
o Double room – 80 euro/room/night
o Distance from playing hall: 200 m

o Lia Manoliu Sports Complex


o Dublă – 20 euro /room/ night
o Distance from playing hall: 5,4 km
o Reservations are made through the organizer and the rooms are booked only after full
payment. There are only a limited number of rooms available at these rates.

o After registration, you will receive the invoice with the participation fee and possibly the
accommodation and meal expenses. In the invoice you will find the bank accounts
where you will have to make the payment
o The registration will be considered effective only after the full payment of the invoice!
o The organizer will provide special conditions for players with ELO 2600+
o Please read the Tournament Regulations carefully before registering for the
tournament!
