Job Description: Engineering Head

Job Location: Sitarganj

Position Overview:
As an Engineering Head, he will be responsible for overseeing and managing the
maintenance operations, modifications & new projects within an organization. Your primary
role will be to ensure the smooth functioning of all equipment, machinery and infrastructure
while adhering to safety standards and minimizing downtime. Their duties include hiring and
training qualified engineering staff, setting project budgets and timelines for completion,
and helping their staff run tests or troubleshoot issues with prototypes. You will lead a team
of Maintenance Heads and coordinate with other departments to optimize maintenance
processes and enhance operational efficiency with minimum expenses and lowest inventory
and meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
 Identifies, recommends, modifies, and implements new processes, technologies, and
systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources
and materials.
 Collaborates with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while
supplying expertise and guidance on operations, projects, and systems.
 Identifying, training, and developing leaders within the company and setting them on
a path for management.
 Monitoring the competitive landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast
of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead.
 Instruct engineering team on technical and project management techniques backed
by best practices and PMI (Project Management Institute) methodologies.
 Prepare & approve of Annual Engineering Maintenance Budget & monitoring
monthly variance. Proper utilization of all equipment, efficiency & Improvement of
machinery, new technology enhancement, and ensuring uninterrupted support to all
the production units.
 Analyse the criticality of business decisions as well as attend meetings with key
stakeholders of the company.
 Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and plans to optimize
equipment performance and minimize downtime.
 Collaborate with production and operations teams to identify maintenance,
modification needs and develop preventive maintenance procedures.
 Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices in
maintenance operations.
 Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment,
and facilities, including electrical, mechanical, Utilities and Vehicles
 Establish and maintain a comprehensive inventory of spare parts, tools, and
equipment required for maintenance activities.
 Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs,
maintenance contracts, and procurement of spare parts.
 Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency
improvement in maintenance operations.
 Analyse maintenance data and key performance indicators to track trends, identify
recurring issues, and implement corrective actions.
 Stay updated with the latest advancements in maintenance technologies and
practices, recommending innovative solutions to enhance productivity.
 Develop and enforce safety protocols, ensuring all maintenance activities are
conducted in accordance with relevant safety regulations and standards.
 Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and implement
corrective measures.
 Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders,
maintenance logs, and equipment history.

Qualifications and Skills:


 Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field (Mechanical, Electrical &
Instrumentation, Industrial, etc.) is preferred
 15+ years’ experience in maintenance management, with a focus on industrial or
continuous manufacturing environments
 SAP Knowledge is Must
 Strong knowledge of maintenance techniques, projects, equipment and systems
 Excellent leadership and team management skills
 Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
 Analytical mind-set and problem-solving skills
 Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements
 Project management skills
 Delegation skills
 Time management skills
