In This Version
This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for
most technologies that Analyzer supports, with changes falling under the following
categories:
• Technology improvements:
o Configurable VoLTE event timer between RRC and SIP signaling
• Platform improvements:
o New threshold for configurable time between LTE-RRC and SIP signaling
o Reporting support for additional Office 365 features
• Platform improvements:
o Call Flow Viewer and Protocol Stack Browser support for embedded NR-
RRC messages.
o WMS map layer support for MapInfo TAB layers requiring TLS1.2
Technology Improvements
LTE-Advanced-Pro support
• Improvements to VoLTE event detection, where users are now able to configure a
timer threshold for an acceptable delay between the RRC Connection Setup
Request and SIP INVITE messages.
• Support added for Android Dual SIM Info messages (v1) messages, which were
causing a crash during file loading.
• Support for OTT OOKLA Speedtest app testing with XCAL (DRM 6.3.8) has been
updated, with new Test Call Event message formats, and Speedcheck Info
message.
• Support added for SIP signaling decoded from standard WinPCAP (0xDFE1)
messages when DPL Log is not enabled, enabling VoLTE / VoNR event detection.
• Support improved for iPerf tasks which were aborted by the user, now setting
App_Throughput_DL/UL_Mean at the end of these cancelled tasks.
• Support added for automatically loading Nemo files captured as a file group
(filename.n.NMF) where file start times are not identical across all files in the
group, when files are created by Enhancell ECHO Studio.
• Support added for Fast.com as an OTT App based test scenario, setting attributes:
o OTT_APP_Id
o OTT_APP_OperationStart
o OTT_APP_OperationEnd
o OTT_APP_Operation
o OTT_APP_Throughput_DL/UL
o OTT_APP_RTT
o Task_Application_Type
o Task_App_Bytes_DL/UL
• Support updated for Audio Quality Info (AQI) messages, adding support for AQ
Sync Method into the Message Browser.
• Support updated for Audio Quality Uplink (AQUL) messages, adding support for:
o AQ Error Code set into attribute Nemo_AQUL_ErrorCode
o AQ Sample Rate set into Message Browser only
o AQ Unique ID set into Message Browser only
• Support updated for Audio Quality Downlink (AQDL) messages, adding support for
o AQ Sample Rate set into Message Browser only
o AQ Unique ID set into Message Browser only
• Support updated for Data Content (DCONTENT) message, adding support for
“Load Failed” as a Reply option, for HTTP Browsing, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
and Linked-In operations.
• Support added for Background App Monitoring message (0xA1E9), into Message
Browser only:
• Improvements made to setting PING results for failed tests n PING TestEx Results
messages. Ping_RTT is no longer set to 0 for lost PINGs at timeout events.
• Improvements made to Test Results message for streaming tests, extending the
STREAMRESULTS message contents and setting attributes at Video Status Trace
message:
o Streaming_MOS_Score_DL
o Streaming_Video_MOS_Score_DL
o Streaming_Video_MOS_Type_DL
Event Detection
• Improvements made to VoLTE event detection, where a configurable timer has
been added to allow users to configure the acceptable time between RRC
Connection Request for a voice call and the subsequent SIP INVITE message to
IMS (default is set to 8,000ms).
• Improvements made to event detection for SRVCC scenarios, handing over from
LTE to UMTS.
• Improvements made to GSM RR Channel Release event detection, where TCH and
SDCCH are both released, all EARFCNs and associated bandwidths reported in the
cell selection indicator are now reported in the Message Browser.
Generic
• Support added for NR_NCGI attribute, set from NR-RRC messages (unless
reported as 0, or non-numeric values) in format MCC-MNC-gNBid-CI.
Cellrefs
• Support added for dotted lines-to-cells drawn to Secondary Cell Group NR_Cell
layer nodes, as part of the neighbor cell list, when a UE is in EN-DC, adding a new
attribute NeighborSectorTech to allow users to determine the cell’s technology.
Format Groups
• Format Group for Task_Application_Type has been improved separating:
o Capacity DL
o Capacity UL
• New format groups have been added for Event_Task_* events, in line with
Task_End_Result, for the following attributes:
o Event_Task_Start (cyan)
o Event_Task_Fail (red)
o Event_Task_Cancelled (yellow)
o Event_Task_End (green)
Reports
• Support improved for report templates when Office 365 is used, resolving an issue
introduced with Excel dynamic arrays.
Thresholds
• New threshold added to allow users to configure the acceptable time delay
between an LTE RRC Connection Request (voice call) and the subsequent SIP
INVITE message to IMS: LTE_UE_RrcReq_to_SIPINVITE_timer, with default
of 8,000ms.
Platform Improvements
Map
• Support added for TLS1.2 to enable WMS layers created using MapInfo to be
displayed in the map as separate layers. Users must define the WMS server
connection properties in MapInfo and create a TAB / XML file pair, which can be
added as a map layer in the usual way.
Documentation Changes
• Updates made to Actix Software Installation Guide.PDF, adding support for
Windows Server 2022 in the recommended specification, and resolution for a
TLS1.0 security error sometimes seen in Spotlight.
Known Issues
• None
