Introduction for every grade


Let the students first mention as many different animal species as possible. Write these on the board
yourself, or have the students write them on the board. With preschoolers, you can also do this
energizer. Use pictures of animals.
Ask questions to the students to which they can only respond by naming an animal. Let the students
briefly explain why they chose that animal. Possible questions:
- Which animal would you like to be and why?
- With which animal can you compare yourself when you are angry?
- Which animal do you resemble and why?
- Which characteristic of an animal would you like to have? Why?
- Which animal do you not resemble at all and why?
- Which characteristic of an animal would you not want to have? Why?
