WRITING ASSIGNMENT – LESSON _3__

Unit: 1
Topic: Line graphs

1. The chart below shows the average cost of monthly contract for four different
mobiles (cell phones) in a European country from January to September 2002,
measured in euros.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make
comparisons where relevant.

2. The graph below shows the number of cars manufactured in four different countries
from 2020 to 2035.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make
comparisons where relevant.

 1st draft

1. The line graph provides information about the average cost of monthly contract for four
different mobiles (cell phones) is Domo, Lex, Sim TX, Alpha in a European country from
January to September 2002.

Overall, we can see a certain growth in the average monthly contract costs of the four
different mobile phones from January to September 2022, with alpha and domo have the
highest monthly growth

Starting at 5 euros for monthly alpha contract spend in January 2022, monthly alpha contract
spend continued to increase slightly from January to April and decreased slightly to 5 euros in
June. Then figures of Alpha increased significantly from June to September reaching a peak of
25 euros. On the contrary, the graph line of Sim TX increased slightly from January to June
and decreased sharply from June to September.
After a short period of fluctuation from January to May, Domo's monthly contract costs
increased significantly over the following month. However, after that it decreased slightly
from 25 euros to 24 euros. Similarly, Lex's chart line fluctuated continuously from January to
September and peaked at 18 euros.

2. The line chart illustrates the number of cars manufactured in four different countries from
2020 to 2035

It is clear that In 2000, cars industry developed quite strongly, but by 2035 we can see on the
chart that three countries UK, Japan, and USA, all decreased sharply, only China increased
slightly, this shows that in the future people will use less. more cars and use other more
modern means of transport

Automobile production in Japan will increase slightly from 2020 to 2025 but will decrease
sharply from 2025 to 2035. As for the USA, it will decrease steadily from 2020 to 2035, from
being the second largest car manufacturing country, it has now fallen to the lowest car
manufacturing country among the four countries.

The UK's graph declines slightly from 2020 to 2025 then declines sharply to 2035. However,
China is the only country where the graph increases steadily from 2020 to 2035 and peaks in
2035 with the number of cars produced being 150,000.
