RATIONALE
Character and Personality development has been an essential feature in maintaining a flourishing
and meaningful life. Certain circumstances and behaviors are inevitable that individuals may
possess which at some point affect how they think, act, and feel. Hence, this module centers on the
importance of enhancing the quality of life, way of thinking and personality of the participants that
is entitled AKO KINI: ABANTE PADULONG SA KINABUHING MABUNGAHON. In
which, this module focuses on the following areas of development:
Character Development is the process by which the organized thought and behavior patterns that
make up a person’s unique personality emerge over time. Many factors influence personality,
including genetics, social variables, and environmental factors.
Decision Making Skills it is the simple act of deciding supports that participants have free will.
They must weigh the benefits and costs of their choices, and then cope with the consequences.
Respect and Manners it is the person’s sense of propriety and social graces. Human relations are
greatly improved by using good manners. It serves as the skeleton of a reliable social structure.

The following general objectives outline the desired outcomes for
participants upon completion of the learning session:
• Cognitive - By engaging in the drawing and reflection process, participants
will have the opportunity to explore their personal strengths, preferences,
and support systems. This objective aims to encourage participants to think
critically about themselves and their relationships, fostering introspection
and cognitive growth.
• Affective - Through the process of reflecting on and representing positive
aspects of themselves, their skills, and their support systems, participants

will be encouraged to cultivate a sense of self-worth and pride. By focusing
on their strengths and the support they receive, participants can experience
increased self-esteem and a greater sense of emotional well-being.
• Behavioral - The behavioral objective for this activity could be to
encourage self-expression and promote active participation among the
participants. By providing them with the opportunity to create their own
shield design and express themselves through drawings, participants are
encouraged to actively engage in the activity and showcase their
individuality.
This learning session will outline one activactivity are specifically tailored
for the residents of RRCY:
Activity Name: SHIELD
Activity Procedure:
• Facilitators will give each participant the materials (pen and paper)
Learning Session needed for the activity.
Outline • The participants are tasked to draw their own shield and divide it
into six sections. Be creative in your design.
• On each section, they are going to draw based on what was asked
by the facilitator:
• - things I like about me
• - things that I am good at
• - people that supports me
• - something I am good at
• - a wish for myself
• - At the last section, the participants will give their signature.
• The participants should be ready to present their work once they
are done.
1. What did you do in the activity?
2. Which part of the activity did you find easy? In what way?
Processing 3. What do you think the activity is all about?
4. Based on the activity done, in what ways can you relate it in your
daily living?

Activity Procedure:
Introduction
Opening Prayer
• Conduct a moment of reflection or prayer, allowing the participants to focus and center a positive
vibe during the program.
• To activate the participants and break any barriers between them and the facilitators.
• Facilitators will ask the participants to form two lines facing each other.
• The facilitator will state a phrase and any participants who can relate or agree to the phrases given
will step forward or step on the line.
• The activity will approximately last for 5 minutes.
Lecture
• Deliver a brief discussion and talk about the goal and aim of the program emphasizing key points
and practical knowledge in developing character and personality in general.
• Facilitators will implement the activity to the participants, with the goal of expressing and sharing
their emotions and sentiments.
Processing
• Facilitators will process the activity with the participants ensuring that they will be gieven
a chance to talk and share their thoughts.
Closing Remark
• Wrap up the session by summarizing takeaways from the lecture, activities and processing.
• Expressed gratitude to the partcipants, facilitators, and any volunteers in the session.
• Encourage and inform the participants to the other upcoming sessions.
• Conclude the session with a final thought on the personal and character development.

playing a simple game that requires self – control and effort.
• To build a spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship with the
use of good decision making.
• To let the children, experience a fun and engaging activity
that will help them reflect on their actions.
This learning session will outline one activity that are specifically tailored
for the residents of RRCY:
• Helium Stick
Activity Procedures:
1. Ther will be four groups.
Learning Session
2. Each group will be given a stick to balance.
Outline
3. Each player in the team will only use their index finger to hold the
stick.
4. All members of the group will have to communicate with each
other on how they will balance the stick.
5. The group who will hold the stick longest, will win.
This activity will answer the following questions:
1. Unsa nga part sa activity ang gikalisdan nimo?
2. Unsa nga part sa activity na nagamit nimo ang imong skills sa

3. Unsa para nimo ang purpose sa atoang activity?
4. Basi sa activity na gibuhat ninyo, unsaon man ninyo pag – relate
