The device comes with a headbelt which adapts to user’s head
circumference automatically through its elastic structure. If the head
circumference is too small and the headset may easily fall down due
to loose headbelt, please use the head buffer. If the head circumfer-
ence is big enough, the back foam cushioningis not necessary.

3. Polaris base station
Introduction
Hint: The Polaris base station sends signals to the headset and
controller. Keep the front panel from being blocked by anything.
When the Polaris base station is turned on, it may interfere with
some infrared sensors nearby, such as the sensor in TV remote
control.
Hint: Do not open the cover of the Polaris base station, because that
may cause harm to you or your product.
Please stop using the Polaris base station if its front panel is broken.
7
Base station usage scenario
Single base station: One base station is used and it must be the
master. It is applicable for standing or sitting experience in a small
space. The coverage of a single base station is about the 180º area
around the radiated object.

to some shake.
Green on: The slave base station is in normal mode.
Green flash: The slave base station is just started up, or fails to
receive signals from the master base station, or is unstable due to
some shake.
Red: The slave base station has internal fault.
Red flash: The base station does not work normally due to
interference from other base stations.
4. Polaris controller
Introduction
The Polaris controller is used for interacting with objects within the
VR world. It has sensors that are traceable by the Polaris base
station.
Hint: Several laser sensors are located in the circular region at the
tip of the controller. Be sure that the laser sensors receive well laser
signals from the base station, do not cover the circular region at the
controller tip with any extra material. In addition, keep the sensors
at the controller tip clear of blocking by hands or any other items.

Connect the headset and computer
Hint: Be sure to plug the HDMI cable onto the independent graphic
card!
17
As shown below, the headset is connected to the computer
successfully. The headset information is displayed to the right of the
headset icon.
18
When the firmware upgrade is completed, upgrade the controller
as well to achieve the best VR experience. If the firmware upgrade
failed, click that button to try once again.
1. Take out the Polaris base station, base station power adapter,
and USB to Micro-USB data cable from the package (the controller
USB cable can be used as well).
Put the base station on table stably and power on the base station
by using the provided power adapter.
Use the USB to Micro-USB data cable to connect the computer USB
interface and base station USB interface.
19
3. (For the single base station 180° visual field) Make the M-S switch
on the back of the controller is at the M position, indicating the
current base station is the master.
(For the dual base station 360° visual field) Make the M-S switch is
at the M position on one controller, indicating the current base
station is the master; and the S position on the other, indicating it
is the slave.
In the dual base station configuration, the master is loaded first
and then the slave.
Hint: During the process of parameter loading, do not unplug any
cable to avoid firmware error.
Hint: If the base station parameter loading fails, make sure the
power supply of the base station is normal and the USB data cable
connection is good, and then try once again.
4. After successful loading, the base station serial number and other
information are displayed by click the button at the top-right
corner of the base station information pane.
20
Note: The parameter loading can also be done by clicking Load
parameter in the base station information pane.
Hint: After the base station parameters are loaded, the product
serial number of the base station will be displayed in the base
station pane of the DpnAssistant.
Whenever necessary, compare the displayed serial number with the
one shown on label which is attached to the back of the base
station. If they do not match, reload the base station parameter
once again.

Step ②: Put the washer on the hexagon socket head cap screw
1 , and then insert it into the tripod lower support 1 .
24
Step ④: Insert the assembly completed in step ② into the mounting
holes in the lower part of the base station back, as shown below. Use
the hexagon socket L-type spanner to tighten it.
25
Step ⑥: Use the hexagon socket L-type spanner to mount the tripod
lower support 2 and the Hexagon socket head cap screw 2 , as
shown below.
26
4. For standing posture, the recommended tripod height is the
shoulder height (about 1.5 m) to achieve the best coverage range.
For the other usage scenarios, decide the mounting height
according to the motion range of the controller.
5. Adjust the orientation of the Polaris base station so the front
panel is facing to the center of the gaming zone.
6. After the base station is mounted completely, remove the
protective film from the front panel of the base station.
27
1. Use the USB cable to connect the left controller and computer.
Hint: During the pairing operation for the headset, the left controller
shall go first before the right one.

left control is still, press the trigger button on the right controller.
During the process, keep both controllers within the effective
radiation area of the base station.
33
2. Wait patiently until the first circle at the bottom has a tick symbol
. Move the controller to another point to continue the calibration.
Hint: If any prompt in red appears, it indicates the points are too
close to each other. Change the point location till the calibration
succeeds for that point.
Controller placement
34
3. During the process of calibration, you can click the Restart at the
bottom-left corner to start the calibration over again.
35
Dual base station calibration (without use of calibrator)

there is no obstacle in the zone.
2. As shown above, choose the first positioning point within the blue
area of the rectangle. Make sure the controller is in right placement.
36
3. Continue with the calibration at the second point. Make sure the
distance between the points is above 50cm. Click to confirm the
calibration.
37
Dual base station calibration (with calibrator)
Hint: When the calibrator is used to calibrate the base station, insert
the tail parts of the controllers into the calibrator, as shown below
and place them in vertical position on the ground.
Calibrator Placement
1. As shown in the picture, the green area is the gaming zone. Make
sure there is no obstacle in the zone.
Hint: During the calibration, follow the instructions on the page and
read carefully the attentions displayed on the page.
38
2. As shown above, choose the first positioning point within the
blue area of the rectangle. Make the connected controllers are
located on the line between two base stations. Click to confirm
calibration.
