Assignment 1 – WORD PROCESSING (10%)

Topic: Word Processing

Deadline: 16 May 2024

Objective: To expose students on how to write a large document using Microsoft Word.

like responses to various queries. Essentially, I'm a type of chatbot that can understand and respond
to natural language input. I can answer questions, provide recommendations, and engage in
conversations on a wide range of topics.”

Instructions:

- Using ChatGPT, write a report based on topic <specify your topics>. Select your topic through
the UUM Online Learning.
- Use your student number and name as the file name (e.g. 123456_ Mohammed).
- Write your name, matric no., course code, group and the title on the front page of your
document.
- Identical reports are not accepted. If identical reports are found, 0 mark will be given.
- The report should include the following elements:
• Title page
• Table of Contents
• List of figures and list of tables
• The body of the report (including sections and subsections, e.g. Introduction, … etc.)
• List of references

Requirement of the report:

1. Document styles: (20 Marks)


a. Heading: use heading 1 until heading 3.
b. Margin for all sides; left, right, top, bottom is 1.5 inch.
c. Line spacing: 1.5.
d. Font (Color: black – Size: default size for document styles; Heading 1, heading 2, heading 3,
normal).
e. Indentation: Justify.
2. Page orientation consists of landscape and portrait. (10 Marks)
3. Header & Footer (10 Marks)
a. Header: The title of your given topic.
b. Footer: page number.
4. Figures and Tables (10 Marks)
a. Figures: At least two figures – the caption below the figure (alignment: center).
b. Table: At least two tables – the caption above the table (alignment: center).
5. Table of contents – generated automatically using document styles features. (15 Marks)
6. List of Figures and list of tables: generated automatically. (10 Marks)
7. Citations and References: at least 3 references (APA Style). Include the list of queries that you
wrote on ChatGPT at the end of the reference. (15 Marks)
8. Number of pages: at least 6 pages + 1 page summary (on the last page, write a summary on the
given topic in your own words). (5 Marks)
9. Content. (5 Marks)
