Introduction

Application Name: ShopEase Web Application

Description: ShopEase is an online shopping platform that allows users to browse products, add
items to a shopping cart, and purchase items securely. Users can also manage their profiles, view
order history, and leave reviews for products.

Scope

Inclusions:

 Functional Testing: User registration, login, product browsing, search functionality, adding
items to cart, checkout process, order management, and product reviews.
 Usability Testing: User interface and user experience assessment.
 Compatibility Testing: Cross-browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and cross-device
(desktop, tablet, mobile) testing.
 Performance Testing: Page load times and responsiveness, particularly during peak usage
times.

Exclusions:

 Backend infrastructure and database performance.


 Third-party integrations not related to the core functionalities (e.g., external payment
gateways, shipping services).
 In-depth security testing (covered by a separate security audit team).

3. Review: Defects are reviewed and assigned to developers for resolution.
4. Resolution: Developers fix the defects and update their status in Jira.
5. Verification: Fixed defects are retested by testers to ensure they are resolved.
6. Closure: Verified defects are closed in Jira.
