sellers will get a bonus if their sales exceed 300000 € per quarter.
Design the layout of sheet 6a with sales figures in bold, italic and red colour if they are
less than 250000 € and take a yellow filling if they are at least 300000 €.
b) Calculate in column F (Excel sheet 6b) the total sales of the current year for each
seller. The total sales should be highlighted as follows:
If the total sale of a seller in the current year is higher by 25% than in the last period,

1980 and later
Part C
Calculate in column I the bonus (in €) for each employee. Women will get a bonus of 2%
based on their salaries, men will get a bonus of 1.5%.

Exercise 19:
File „exercise 19.xlsx“ contains a work schedule with all working times.
Add the missing data in columns F and G as follows:
Column F: Calculate the number of working days between the beginning of work
(Column D) and the end of work (Column E) (inclusive in each case).
Calculate only the workdays, e.g. excluding Saturday and Sunday. Vacation
and public holidays, which are also no workdays are: 09.05.2009,
20.05.2009 and 30.05.2009
Column G: Determine the salary for the work of each employee. The salary results from
the number of working days multiplied by the base salary per day. The base
salary depends on the salary group of each employee. Salary group T5 gets
320 € per day. All other employees get 180 € per day. The salary group is
coded in the second and third position of the personell number. Format the
salaries in column G in € with 2 decimal places.

Exercise 20:
Teil A
File „Exercise 20.xlsx“ contains sheet „exercise 20 A“ with article data.
Column B represents 9-digit article numbers. The warehouse information is coded in position
4, 5, 6 and 7 of the article number. Determine in column C the warehouse of each article and
calculate in F5 and F6 how often warehouses A100 and B100 are mentioned.

employees will get a CD. Column H represents the gift (Flowers or CD).
Column I: The 10 oldest employees get a bonus of 3% based on their salary. Column I
contains the amount (in €).
Column J: Some employees are granted a special leave. The cells L6 to M19 contain
the list with the personell numbers who will get a special leave and the

Cell D25: Output of the deposit (in €)
Cell D26: Calculation of the rental price (in €)
Cell D27: The sum of both of these items (in €)
Cell D29: Calculation of the discount amount (in €). If it is not possible to give a
discount there will be a zero.

should get a 20% discount.
Only the fields for „Pizza-No“, „large“, „small“ and self-collector „yes“/“no“ are input cells
The text „discount 20%“ should appear only if it is a “self-collector”, otherwise the output
should be no text or spaces.
Note: The date has to be the current date (system date!). Desired format: Date and time!

based on on the off season-price.
4. Airport surcharges are applied both to adults and children
Düsseldorf 0€
Frankfurt 50 €
München 70 €
5. Travel insurance will be invoiced with 2% of the total travel price.
6. Input fields for the insurance data are cells C21 to C29:
Take sheet „exercise 27-output“ to calculate the final price. Column B bases on the data of
sheet „exercise 27-input“. Use cells C23 to C31 to determine all values depending on the

A private transport company situated in Duisburg wants to change to a computer-based
ticketing system.
Automatic fare collection – each travel form Duisburg – will be under the following
conditions:
The fare depends on
- the single distance to destination in KM
- the type of ticket (single or return)
- the tariff (depending on the age of the customer and also on the reduction for pupils and
students)
The distance of ticket type return is twice the distance of a single.
Use sheet „data“ to determine reductions, rates per kilometre, distances and prices.
Calculate in the output area the following information depending on sheet „exercise 28a data“
and the input area:
Name of the customer, tour-number, destination, total km, price, reduction, fare including
reduction.
Furthermore the type of ticket (Single or return), the reason for reduction and the current date
