1. Recognize that substances are classified into elements and compounds. Recognize
that compounds consist of specific elements in a definite composition (e.g., H2O and
H2O2; different compounds of C, H, O).

2. Demonstrate the different properties of metals and nonmetals (e.g., luster,


malleability, ductility, conductivity) and Recognize the elements considered as metals
and those that are nonmetals.

B.Performance The learners should be able to make a chart, poster, or multimedia presentation of common elements
