Normal noise is any usual noise that appears in the audio. There are three setting
options, Low, Mid, and Strong. You need to decide to which extent you want to
remove noise. Lower settings apply less processing, retaining more audio in the
original input.

2 Hum Removal

Hum noise refers to the hum or hiss sound. Hum Removal plays a significant role in
removing narrow frequency bands as well as their harmonics. You can control the
amount of noise you want to reduce, with the range from -60 to 0.

3 Wind Removal

Wind Removal specializes in removing the noise of the wind. It estimates the
reverberation profile and works out a way to change the amount of reverberation. You
can choose whether to turn on or turn off the function.

bunnies, glasses, and much more.

For example, you can apply the Heart Eyes AR Sticker and it will be added to the person’s eye
area automatically and move with them.

AR stickers work best when applied to a person facing the camera. If there is more than one

Property Panel
The Property Panel shows you all relevant information on your project to display your clip’s video, audio,
color, and speed properties in the Timeline Panel or Preview Window. This makes all info readily available
so you can make adjustments when editing on the spot.

Player Panel/Preview Window

The Player Panel (Preview Window) shows you how the video plays in the Timeline. This is where you can
adjust different settings, such as:

• Playback quality and display settings

• Capture a snapshot of the video

• Mark in and Mark out

The Player Panel can also be used as an independent panel or replaced with the default position by
simply dragging the panel.

94 of 455
Underneath the time code is the Snapshot button. Snapshot lets you take a full-resolution
still frame and automatically saves the picture to your Media Library as an image.

Media Panel
Also called your “Media Library,” the Media Panel will display all your imported source files when
creating a project.

95 of 455
Here is a brief introduction to the functions:

• Media: Where your media files are imported.

• Split your video clips or audio files.

• Edit your media file’s parameters.

• Render your video for a preview.

96 of 455
• Add marker.

• Record voiceover.

• Mix audio and more.

Layout Modes
There are six layout models to choose from when editing your projects. You can choose between:

• Default: This will help you back to the original layout panel.

• Organize: The media panel will be extended to the bottom line in this mode.

• Edit: The property panel will be extended to the bottom line in this mode.

• Short Video: Best suit creators who intend to upload a short-form vertical video.

• Classic: for people who like the way it looked with the original version of Filmora.

• Dual: This mode works best for people who are accustomed to multiple monitors.

Resizing Panel Groups

If you want to resize any of the panels, drag the resizing icon at the borders between each panel to
adjust to your preferred fit.

97 of 455
Method 1: To resize panels horizontally, position the pointer on the sides until the pointer becomes a left
and right arrow.

Method 2: To resize the panels vertically, position the pointer underneath the panels, then the pointer
becomes an up-and-down arrow.

Filmora won't be able to find it automatically the next time you open a project that uses that piece of
media.

7.3 Motion Tracking
The Motion Tracker tool lets you track movement in your video and have objects like elements, videos,
images, and text follow that movement.

Motion tracking generally requires specific hardware and software to capture and process the related
data.

03 Creative Ways to Utilize the Tool

Motion tracking can be used in animation. The feature allows you to break down a moving person or
object into separate, identifiable parts.

It helps to create a stored motion template. You can transfer that motion template to an animation. You
can keep the elements you want and replace others with the desired images.

Most people only need text to add details or even a touch of humor to their videos.

14.6 Change Playback Quality
You can adjust the playback quality of the Preview window for a smoother editing experience. For
example, you can improve the performance of your preview by playing your video at a lower resolution
than you want for your finished project or by creating proxy media files to edit with.

Proxy files are more manageable versions of your clips that are easier to edit because
they are smaller in terms of data (i.e. they are at a lower resolution). You can edit with a
proxy file in Filmora, then export with your full-sized original clip.

If Filmora detects lags, it will prompt a message to ask you to lower playback quality.

Reducing your playback quality can eliminate lags and save you time. Click the playback quality
control menu, and then choose from these options:

444 of 455
Full: preview your video without changing the original resolution
1/2: preview your video at 1/2 the original resolution
1/4: preview your video at 1/4 the original resolution

The reduced playback resolution only applies to the video preview and will not
affect the export settings.

14.7 How to Mark Clip
Markers can be used either while you are recording or during the post-production, to help you mark the
places in the footage where you've made a mistake, where the new take starts or to indicate a spot on
the timeline where you would like to place a particular video clip.

Timeline Makers

The timeline markers, on the other hand, can only be added to a project during the post-
production period.

You can utilize them to highlight the parts of the video clip you want to remove from the final
version of your video or to mark the spots on the timeline where you'd like to switch from one
take to another.
This type of marker is immensely useful if you want to organize the timeline in your project
better and to know exactly where every clip you want to use in your video is located at all
times.
Besides being a highly efficient tool for organizing vast amounts of footage, timeline markers
can also help you denote the beats in the audio file and then sync the video clip perfectly to
the beat of the tune you're using as a soundtrack to your video.

14.9 What is Proxy Video Editing
Once all the video clips you'd like to use in your next video are transferred from the camera to a
computer and organized properly, you can start thinking about the most efficient way of piecing them
together.

That's where the creation of proxy files comes in, as you don't have to work with the original size RAW
files. Instead, you can create proxies that are significantly smaller than the video files your camera has
captured and still export the video in the 4K or UHD resolution.
