2.1 Introduction To CSP:
DAY-1
Date: 18/7/22
Community Service Project is an experiential learning strategy that
integrates meaningful community service with instruction, participation,
learning and community development
Community Service Project involves students in community development
and service activities and applies the experience to personal and academic
development.
 Community Service Project is meant to link the community with the
college for mutual benefit. The community will be benefited with the
focused contribution of the college students for the village/ local
development. The college finds an opportunity to develop social sensibility
and responsibility among students and also emerge as a socially
responsible institution.
OBJECTIVES:
 To sensitize the students to the living conditions of the people who are
around them

 To help students to realize the stark realities of the society.


 To bring about an attitudinal change in the students and help them to
develop societal consciousness, sensibility, responsibility and
accountability.
IMPLEMENTATION OF COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT FROM THE
STUDENT POINT OF VIEW:
 Since I am a COMPUTER SCIENCE student I wanted to choose a topic
which relates to my stream and then conduct the survey.
After that I would like to a general survey, incorporating all the different
areas. I will design a common survey in one of the following fields.
 The different areas, could be like –
o Agriculture and Health
o Marketing and Cooperation
o Animal Husbandry
o Revenue and Survey
o Natural Disaster Management
o Irrigation

BENEFITS OF COMMUNITY SERVICE PROJECT:


 Positive impact on students’ academic learning
 Improves students’ ability to apply what they have learned in “the real
world”
 Greater involvement in community service after graduation
 New energy, enthusiasm and perspectives applied to community work
 Enhanced community relations.

2.2 Domain Selection and Questionnaire


DAY-2
Date: 19/7/22

 The reason I have selected the above topics are , there is a lot of
importance of computers in todays world. Computers are now a fact
of life.
 Computers have created a very effective information system to help
streamline the management of an organization.
 This makes it a much needed tool for every business, banking,
government, entertainment, daily life, industry, education, and
administration. It can be said of all large organizations, whether the
department government or private, use a computer for a variety of
their daily business and it is the fastest growing industries in the
world today.
 Each organization usually has one or more large computer systems
and a number of microcomputer. The system is a great computer for
data processing tasks, while many small microcomputer to use as
word processing
 Computers have become part of our lives is essential. so,in today’s
world it is very important for everyone to know about the computers
for every age gropus. so I would like to conduct this survey among
different age groups and among different community sectors .

 By the end of this survey I would like to how much computer


knowledge is prevail among the students,elders and different sectors
of community and how many organizations are computerized.
SURVEY QUESTIONS:

2. Do you know any basics of the computer?
3. Have you ever seen how the computers are used in government
programmes?
4. How familiar are you with the social
media(Instagram,Facebook,Twitter,etc.)?

7. Do you think our society will be the technologically dependent in the
future?

MY WAY OF APPROACH:
>first,I would like to go urban areas and then conduct the survey.
>Then,I would like to go to rural areas and conduct the survey.
> As a part of this computer literacy survey .I would like to go the
governmet schools and colleges and conduct the survey

On that day I have selected a topic on which I would like to conduct the
survey .I prepared the survey questions and my way of approach to
conduct the survey.

Chapter 1:Executive summary:

 On first week we went to Non-Government Organisation and


collected the information about that particular organization .
 In second week we visited ZPHS school(Zilla Parishad High School)
and interacted with those children and also provided awareness to
them regarding digital technologies etc.
 In third week we visited primary health care centre and took
permission from there and collected information regarding the
schemes given by the government and also the count of patients and
the staff there.
 In fourth week visited a Sachivalayam of our area and collected
information regarding the schemes provided to the people of our
area and also we got to know how many families are present in our
particular area.
 In fifth week we visited district women and child development
agency nd also FCI Godowns and took permission from them
collected information about the age group of childrens adopted there
and what kind of funds are provided to those kids and also to the
women and in FCI we took information about the food grains stock
present over there and also about their branches and headquarters .
 In sixth week we visited public park,library and also anganwadi.We

there collected information regarding the book genres provided in


the library and the kind of food provided to the children in
anganwadi and the funds and schemes provided to those kids.And in
public park we conducted an yoga awareness provided to all age
groups of people over there.

DAY-3
Date: 20/7/22

 Area:Jyothi nagar.
 Organization:Generation yuvaa organization.

I have choosen jyoti nagar area which is a neighborhood in the city


of Visakhapatnam India. The neighborhood is considered to be the major
residential and commercial area in the district. It is located within the
jurisdiction of the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation, which is
responsible for the area's civic amenities. It is located on the western
fringe of Visakhapatnam.
REPORT:
 The “GENERATION YUVAA ORGANIZATION” is a social service
organization founded by Mr.Naresh kumar.Initially started in 2007
and it has 4 branches.
 The main motto of this organization is “STOP CHILD BEGGING”.
 The total number of kids in this organization is 160.
 The age group of the girls is between 5-20 yrs.
 All kids are sent to the private schools for education.The schools
include Bharatiya vidya bhavan,Bala Bhanu school,etc

 In this organization they have a nursery and they also own a gifts
shop and birds,rabbits and different animals which are sold in case if
there are no donors.
 The kids have a fixed daily routine and a general health checkup is
done every week.
 The food provided is good quality and good
quantity following all the hygiene measures.

After this survey I came to a conclusion that how NGO works and the
measures taken up by the NGO.How it is being maintained.

Date: 21/7/22

 School:ZPHS Primary school,Marripalem

 An awareness program was conducted was conducted at GVMC


school,Jyothinagar.

 The students were very interested and curious to know more about
the computer.

 The kids were provided with the school uniform,bag,shoes etc.

 A good quality of food and education is provided to the students of


the school.

 The school has a huge playground and sanitizied washrooms for both
boys and girls separately.

 At the end of the day,the students got to know what is a


computer,parts of the computer and the differences between a laptop
and desktop computer.

Conclusions:

 The kids were aware of the computer.


 The have the basic knowledge of what a computer is and how to
operate the computer.
 The children there have their own goals but do not know how to
achieve their goals.
 We managed to answer all their questions.
 We suggested the ways to achieve their goals.
 The session was very interactive.
 The students were very enthusiastic to learn new things.
 They have learnt about computer and a laptop.
 They are able to identify the parts of the computer.
 We explained them about the differences of computer and a laptop.

 School:Urban Primary Health Care Center
Report:

 In general,Urban Primary Health Centres (uPHC)are different from


conventional rural PHCs in term of size, functions, focus on
ambulatory care, limited staff and infrastructure.
 According to the data collected,there is one pharmacist,health
inspector,Asha workers-8,ANM’s-7.

 Ambulance service is provided,and all types of medicine is available.

 They take up certain schemes like ASHA, Child Health and


Immunization,RastriyaBal Swasthya Karyakram,HMIS,RNTCP(tb),
NPCB(blindness).

 On average they treat 1800-2000 patients per day.

 They also conduct a free vaccination drive inside the hospital.

 The hospital was also very clean and santizied.

 The doctors were very friendly and provides


good treatement to the patients.

 The hospital is provided with all kinds of facilities

 The treatment is offered by well-trained doctors.

Conclusions:

 The hospital is located near kancharpalem,Visakhapatnam which is


very easy to travel.
 The hospital provides a good treatment to the patients.
 They takeup some government schemes.
 They generally treat a minimum of 2000 patients
 All the medicines area vailable in the hospital.
 The ANM’s also provides good service to the patients.
 The hospital is being funded by the government.
 The hospital is very well sanitized.
 They were also conducting the free covid vaccination drives.

 The sachivalayam has many officers.Most of them were
women.Different fields of officers were present at that place.
 Free vaccination drives are also conducted.
 They look through many needs of the people in their ward like
generating caste certificates etc.

Conclusions:

 All the people who are eligible will receive the schemes provided by
the government.
 The government provides different types of schemes.
 There are many officers who work in the sachivalayam for the well
fare of the people.
 They helped us a lot in gaining the information of the services
provided.
 If there are any issues then they try to clear that issue as soon as
possible.
 They also conduct free vaccination drives.
 They help us in verifying our caste certificates and etc..
 They are very dedicated and hard working people.

Date: 25/7/22

Report:
 I visited to a child adoption center at F.C.I colony,marripalem.
 According to the information there are 8 children present at the
center,age between 0-5 years.

 The care takers take care of each child and good quality of food is
provided to them and also general health checkup is done every week
to the kids.
 They get the funds from the state government and the central
governemmt.They even take the funds from common people.
 Adoption process includes Aadhar,PAN,
and a background verification is done.
 If all the documents and everything is
verified then only the family is eligible to
adopt children.

 This organization take cares of the children of age 0-5 years.

 To adopt a child there is a strict process conducted

 Effective price supports operations for safeguarding the interests of


the farmers.

 Distribution of food grains throughout the country for public


distribution system.

 Maintaining satisfactory level of operational and buffer stocks of food


grains to ensure National Food Security.

 Storage plan of FCI is primarily to meet the storage requirement for


holding stocks to meet the requirements of Public Distribution
System.

 Adequate scientific storage is pre-requisite to fulfill the policy


objectives assigned to the Food Corporation of India.

Overview

The storage function assumes paramount importance in organization such


as Food Corporation of India because of its requirement to hold huge

inventory of foodgrains over a significant period of time. Storage plan of


FCI is primarily to meet the storage requirement for holding stocks to meet
the requirements of Public Distribution System and Other Welfare Schemes
undertaken by the Government of India. Also, buffer stock is to be
maintained for ensuring food security of the nation. Adequate scientific
storage is pre-requisite to fulfill the policy objectives assigned to the Food
Corporation of India for which FCI has a network of strategically located
storage depots including silos all over India.

Besides having own storage capacity, FCI has hired storage capacities from
Central Warehousing Corporation, State Warehousing Corporations, State
Agencies and Private Parties for short term as well as for guaranteed
period under Private Entrepreneurs Guarantee Scheme.

New Godowns are being constructed by FCI mainly through Private


Participation under Private Entrepreneurs Guarantee Scheme. FCI is also
augmenting and modernizing its storage capacity in the form of silos
through Public Private Partnership.

Report:

 Common features of municipal parks include playgrounds,gardens,


hiking, running and fitness trails or paths, sports fields and courts,
public restrooms, boat ramps, and/or picnic facilities, depending on
the budget and natural features available.

 Including within a 10 minute walk provide multiple benefits.

morning karate classes are being conducted by the management of
the park.

members.Anyone can come to the park.
 The park management also conducts some cultural fests,programms

 Dr.B.R.Ambedkar smaraka grandhalayam, library is located near siva


nagar, FCI colony, Marripalem, Visakhapatnam.
 I there observed many printed books and materials,some of those
books belongs to Constitution Of India.It also includes books that are
written by our Dr.B.R.Ambedkar sir at his time about the Constitution
of those days.
 This library also include physical and digital access to materials and
may be a physical location or virtual space or both.
 This library also includes books for kids i.e.,story books and also
provides books for elders according to their ages.

 The library is provided with many books mainly consists of
Ambedkar books.
 The books collection are of very limited.
 They also have a digital library.
 The libarary is located near our locality and many people make use of
the library.
 The disadvantage is most of the books are unavailable .

 The objectives of the Aganwadi are:
 To improve the nutritional and health status of children in the age-
group 0-6 years.

development of the child.
 To reduce the incidence of mortality, morbidity, malnutrition and
school dropout.

Report:
 I visited ZPHS high school near kancharpalem.
 There are 20 teachers,250 students in the school.
 The school is being provided with many facilities including laptops.
 We explaines the students the basics of Ms word and how to make a
Power point presentation.
 The students were very interactive with us all the time.
 We also explained them many uses of a computer.
 We suggested some good courses which the can learn.
 We also gave a glance of how to make a power point presentation.
 The students were very keen to know about various things about
computer.
