before recording.

It was quiet and eerie. Violet felt dizzy and light-

headed, and the world around her seemed so dim. She
tried opening her eyes, but she couldn’t. She was
sleeping on a cold, hard bed, and her whole body
ached. Eventually, she rubbed her eyes and opened
them wide. The last thing she remembered was being
pinned to the ground. She sat up straight and realized
where she was. She was where society assumed she
belonged.

Nova had finally reached Kaylee’s house after walking

for more than half an hour. The front yard was still
messy, even though It’d already been more than three
hours. Nova walked in, and the house was still a bit
messy, but better than before.

K: Oh! Hey Nova. Where were you?

N: I was at the park with Clyde.

K: Hm… With Clyde? Where’s he anyway?

(suspicious)

N: Oh… Takeshi came to the park too and took him

somewhere.

K: Oh, ok.

Nova began helping Kaylee clean.

K: Thanks for helping. (relieved)

N: No problem. (cheerful)

N POV: I wonder if I should tell her… About Clyde.

(worried)

N: Um… Kaylee? Can I tell you something? (hopeful)

K: Sure.

N: You know that feeling you get? When you get so

excited to see someone, and it makes you stressed and
nervous? (nervous)

K: Yeah. That’s how I feel when I see my mom.

(embarrassed)

N: No, not like that. It’s like, when you see them and
think about that person it makes you get that weird
feeling in your stomach. (nervous)
K: Oh! Yeah, but I only get that feeling with other
women for some reason. (confused)

N: Is it natural to get it with a man? (hopeful)

K: Yeah, it is. It’s called love by the way.

N: Well, I guess I k-kinda love someone. (nervous)

Kaylee drops her broom, and her eyes widen.

K: What? How? (confused, shocked)

N: W-what’s wrong? (worried)

K: That’s not normal! Are you messing with me?

(confused)

N: No… I thought you said it’s normal… (worried)

K: Yeah, but you’re a cyborg! You don’t have feelings!

(confused)
N: Oh… I… So, it’s only for humans? (worried, upset)

K: No, I- I’m sorry, I just was confused for a second.

(shocked) Come, let me explain.

She and Nova sat on the couch.

K: Listen. The truth is, most of us humans, look down

on other things. Whether they’re living or not. We have
a big ego, and we think we can get anything we want.
Of course, not everyone is like this, but most of us only
think of ourselves. (worried)

N: Oh… Are you like that? And Clyde? (worried)

K: No. But I’m not sure about Clyde. He’s complicated.

(annoyed)

N: Ok, but how does this have anything to do with

love? (confused)
K: I don’t want to make you sad but… If most people
knew that you were a cyborg, they’d treat you
differently. Because you don’t have a soul, they think
you don’t exist, therefore, they treat you like shit. Even
animals, they have souls, and plants, but despite that,
everyone eats meat and wastes paper. Including me.
(worried)

N: But you don’t treat me badly, or Clyde, or anyone.

(confused)

K: That’s because I’m decent. But I let you sleep on the

couch that day because I didn’t now you felt pain or
sadness… Sorry about that. (worried)

N: It’s fine. (devastated)

K: Other people treat you nicely because they think

you’re one of them. (worried)

N: One of them… (upset)

K: If that person you love knew that you were a cyborg,

it would be hard for him to like you back. And if
anyone else knew, they wouldn’t see you as a normal
person either. (worried)

N: I… I understand… (worried)

She shed a tear, and Kaylee hugged her.

K: You really do have feelings, don’t you? (pitying)

Nova nods.

K: Don’t worry. I won’t treat you like shit. (reassuring,

glad)

N: I know. Thank you. (trying to be happy)

K: Now, let’s finish cleaning. We’re almost done.

N: Yeah.
They get back to tidying and sweeping the floors.
Finally, Nova realized why everyone in this world finds
it so hard to smile.

Derrek had just finished brushing his razor-sharp teeth.

He’d always had them, because of his HED. He was
staring at the mirror, admiring them.

DR POV: I should go to the dentist. Nah, they’ll think

I’m a freak. (careless)

He walks out of the bathroom and relaxes on the bed.

His apartment was consisted of three rooms: small
kitchen, small bathroom, small bedroom.

DR POV: Ah… So quiet… (relaxed) So boring…

(annoyed)

Just then, there was a ring on his doorbell. He opened

the door to see Clyde and Dylan.

DR: Oh, hey.

D: Hi.
C: Sup.

They walk in and Clyde dumps his PS5 and controllers

on the bed.

C: Who’s ready to play some Call of Duty? (excited)

DR: Nah. I wanted to talk to you guys about something

before that.

D: Ok.

They sat on the carpet.

DR: So… I know I’ve asked you this a million times,

but Takeshi told me that you have a relationship with
someone. (hopeful)

C: Is he talking about Nova? (annoyed)

D: Who’s Nova? (confused)

C: She’s Kaylee’s friend.

DR: And… you guys were ki-ssi-ng… (teasing)

C: We were about to, until Takeshi ruined it. (annoyed)

D: The last person I thought who’d get a girlfriend is

you. (confused)

C: I’m not that bad! (annoyed) Plus, she’s really cute.

DR: Can’t you tell me how you got her to like you?
(hopeful)

C: I don’t know… I guess it was a miracle; I’d never

been into people anyway. (confused)

DR: How come a guy who doesn’t care about

relationships gets one, and a guy like me who devoted
his whole life to it, never gets one! (annoyed,
complaining)
D: Be thankful that you have friends, at least.

DR: Can you marry your friends? Can you kiss them?
Hug them? Have kids with them? (annoyed)

C: Derrek, if you’re so desperate, go get a matchmaker

or something. (annoyed)

DR: It always costs so much to hire one. I don’t have

that kind of money. (worried, annoyed)

D: Wait… I’m not sure if she’s still alive or if she’s in

the country, but I used to know a girl who charged
fifteen dollars to help… She had crazy matchmaking
skills. (trying to remember)

DR: Really? Where is she? When was that? (curious)

D: Eh… Six years ago, back in high school.

(wondering)
C: Seriously? First, she might’ve died like you said,
second, she probably moved. Third, if this is her current
life job, she’d charge way more. (unimpressed)

DR: Do you have any contact with her? (hopeful)

D: No. But we can google her. Who knows, she may

have a website.

Dylan opens his phone and searches ‘Angel Bellmore’.

DR: Is that her name?

D: Yeah. I think so.

They scrolled through google, and eventually, they

found a matchmaker called ‘Angel Bellmore’.

D: This is her! I found it! (hopeful)

DR: How much does she charge? (hopeful)

C: It just shows flowers and stuff.

D: But there is a number.

DR: I’ll call her.

Derrek dials the number on his phone and waits for an

answer.

R: Hello, this is Sweet Blooms, how can I help you?

(cheerful)

DR: Uh… Hi. So, I saw your website, and… Do you

have a matchmaker called Angel Bellmore? (curious)

R: Um… Yes, but she isn’t a matchmaker. She’s the co-

owner. (confused)

DR: Oh… Well, anyway, I’d like to talk to her.

R: Now?

DR: In person.

R: She’s mostly available from 1 to 5pm.

DR: Alright. Tomorrow?

R: She can’t tomorrow, but maybe after tomorrow.

DR: Sounds good to me. Where is this business of

yours?

R: It’s a flower and gift shop in Wall Street. Quite easy

to spot; we have a large banner.

DR: Ok. Thanks.

R: No problem!

Derrek hangs up.

C: You wanna meet her? The woman said she isn’t
matchmaker anymore. (confused)

DR: Still helps if she used to be one.

D: Can I come? Wouldn’t mind saying hi to an old

friend. And thank you.

DR: For what? (confused)

D: Oh, never mind.

DR: I don’t mind if you come with me.

D: Ok, I guess.

C: Now… Let’s play. (excited)

DR: Sure.
Takeshi was reading the book. The book that opened
his eyes to the world of magic, power and destruction.
The Legend Book; it had everything about their gems,
The Dark Era, The Yin and Yang, and a lot more. He
always thought it wasn’t real, but now that he’d
become a part of it, he had mixed feelings.

T POV: All of this must be real… The gems are real,

and so are these. (shocked)

He flipped through the pages with demons, angels and

occults, fearing that they may interfere with a world
that only dreams of them. Eventually, he became too
overwhelmed to read the book. He placed it gently on
the table and decided to scroll through his phone
instead. He rarely used it, as he found it time-wasting,
unless it was for communication. He was checking the
news, when he saw a headline that said: ‘VIOLET
ANGELO ESCAPES PRISON’. He almost drops his
phone. He reads the details, as they claim that she
escaped the day before. It was so easy to catch her; it
was too good to be true. Suddenly, a thought came to
his mind. What was the first thing a villain would do
after escaping?

T POV: How… Wait… The gem! (shocked)

Finally, Takeshi had reached Jacob’s house. Jacob’s
house was enormous. His family was very close to each
other, so they’d decided to live all together; nine
people. Jacob’s older sister, Mary, opened the door for
Takeshi.

ME: Takeshi! Hi! It’s so good to see you again!

(cheerful)

T: Good afternoon. (rushed)

ME: How are you? (cheerful)

T: I’m fine, thank you for asking, but I really need

Jacob right now. (hopeful, rushed)

ME: Oh, he’s in the garage with my daughter; you’ll

always find him there.

T: Thank you. (rushed)

He ran to the garage, and it was open. He saw Jacob’s
legs sticking out from under the car.

J: Lily, can you pass me the impact wrench?

L: Yeah! (cheerful)

Jacob’s niece, Lily, realized there was a stranger

outside.

L: Um… Uncle Jacob, there’s a creepy guy outside.

(worried)

Jacob gets out from under the car.

J: What do you mean? Let me see. (confused)

He walks outside and spots Takeshi; he waves for him

to come forward.

J: Hey there, you scared my niece. (amused)

T: I’m sorry, but there’s something much more
important. (desperate)

J: What’s wrong? (confused)

T: …Violet escaped. (hushed voice)

J: What? You’re kidding, right? (worried)

T: No… It’s all over the news. (concerned)

J: *sighs*… This is insane… (stressed)

T: I think… She got her gem back. (suspicious)

J: That’s impossible! It’s with us! (confused)

T: Check if it is. (worried)

Jacob and Takeshi got into the house. They went

upstairs, and into his room. They opened a drawer and
took out a small box. Jacob took a tiny key and opened
the box. Jacob and Takeshi couldn’t believe their eyes.
The gem was gone.

J: W-what? Where is it?! (shocked)

T: Maybe someone from your family took it by

accident? (hopeful)

J: No one even comes to my room… (shocked)

T: Did you have anyone over? (firm)

J: No, you guys are the only ones who come here.
(confused)

T: Maybe Clyde or Derrek or Dylan took it, we’ll ask

them. (hopeful)

J: But for what reason would they? (confused)

T: Then, in that case, it must’ve been stolen. (worried)

J: If it was stolen, the person who took it would’ve
taken our other valuables! It doesn’t make sense.
(stressed)

T: Maybe… Violet sent someone to get it. It could

possibly be Desiree. (firm)

J: I don’t know… *sighs*…Why did this even happen

to us? (stressed)

Jacob sits on the bed and puts his head in his hands.
Takeshi decided this was a good time for some wise-
friend-advice.

T: I’ll tell you something. There’s a reason for

everything. We were chosen to be the beholders of the
gems because the universe thought it was the best
choice. (calm)

J: Do you believe in God, or just the universe?

(confused)

T: Just the universe.

J: Ok. I guess you blame the universe, I blame God.
(stressed)

T: Both ways, everything does happen for a reason. It’s

quite like the wind. Everyone thinks the wind just
happens, but there’s a reason, because it’s the
compression of air. (calm)

J: Ok. I get it. But what should we do to stop it?

(hopeful)

T: We just must stay strong; we can’t let it blow us

away.

J: I guess.

Takeshi smiled and patted his back, then he got up

again.

J: We still must figure out who did this though.

(hopeful)

T: Well, I have a plan. We need to find Violet first.

Maybe we can find out from her. (firm)
J: Dylan can help. He’s great at persuading people. Last
time, he almost got her to trust him. (amazed)

T: Yes, that is true. He can help, and so can the others.

J: We should probably start now. (determined)

T: Good point. I’ll let them know. (firm)

Clyde and Dylan had just left Derrek’s place, and they
were going home together in the bus.

D: I’m happy for Derrek. After all this time he finally

got a chance. (relieved)

C: Yeah. Didn’t you say that matchmaker was in your

high school?
D: She was, but she used to be annoying. Angel always
fell out of trees or popped out of bushes; it creeped me
out. (amused)

C: My high school days sucked. Everyone made fun of

me for hating sport and adoring video games. (annoyed)

D: Don’t worry. I got into a fist fight every three hours.

(reassuring)

Their conversation was interrupted when Dylan’s

phone rang. He picked it up, and Takeshi was on the
other side.

D: Hello?

T: Dylan, there’s a huge problem. (firm)

D: What are you talking about? (worried)

T: Violet’s gem. It’s gone. (worried)

D: Oh. That’s pretty bad. (worried)

T: Of course it is! It’s terrible! (concerned) I need all of
you to come to my house. (firm)

D: We’ll be right there.

He closes the phone.

D: Clyde, we gotta go to Takeshi’s.

C: Why? (confused)

D: Violet’s gem was stolen. (worried)

C: What? (shocked)

D: Yeah, I know. Now let’s hurry. (rushed)

The bus stopped near Takeshi’s house. Clyde and

Dylan ran towards it, so agitated that they could barely
feel their legs.
C: *panting* Almost there… (hopeful)

Finally, they reached the house and burst open the

door. Jacob and Takeshi were staring at them, looking
startled.

T: That’s quite a polite way to enter a person’s home.

(sarcastic)

C: Sorry. We were just in a rush. (embarrassed, tired)

Dylan collapsed onto an armchair, and Clyde did the

same. They both looked at Takeshi and Jacob intently.

T: Well, it seems like you’ve already heard of the news.

(concerned)

Clyde and Dylan nodded.

J: So, the first step, is to find the person who let her out.
(firm)
C: But we don’t have any clues. (worried)

T: That’s the problem. However, if we do find her, we

may have to get answers from her. (firm)

J: And put her back in jail. (determined)

D: Maybe we should just wait and see If she does

something bad. All she wants is for us to stop trying to
kill her.

J: Yeah, she did say that when she kidnapped me, but
all we want is the gems. (annoyed)

T: And, after everything she did, we can’t leave her

alone. There are laws and punishments, and she’s
supposed to commit to them. (firm)

C: I guess second chances don’t exist when it comes to

laws.

D: *sighs*. Yeah. (disappointed)

J: Hold on, why isn’t Derrek here? (confused)

T: Most likely sleeping. (annoyed)

C: He was arranging a meeting with a matchmaker,

A.K.A. Dylan’s old friend from high school.

T: How useless. Instead of wasting his money on that,

he could’ve paid his own rent, so I wouldn’t have to do
it for him. (annoyed)

J: He’ll get a relationship when pigs fly. (amused)

D: Poor guy; he’d give away anything for love, even

our heads. (amused)

T: Now’s not the time for that. There’s a criminal on the

loose; I can’t live with that responsibility. (concerned)

C: Same. (determined)

J: Ok. What should we do right now? (hopeful)

Takeshi stood up and swiftly walked to the door.

T: We search. (firm)

D: Now? (confused)

T: Now. (firm)

He opened the door and left it open; a sign that they

were supposed to follow him.

J: C’mon. Let’s go.

Violet was running through the dark alleyways. The

sinister atmosphere made her shudder, as she knew that
they were after her, because why wouldn’t they be? Her
heart was beating as fast as a drum. Her hands were
sweaty from clutching her gem. Any moment now,
they’d find her somehow and make her suffer. The only
thing keeping her going was him.
Eventually, she stopped running, exhausted.
V: *panting noises*… It’s probably safe here. (hopeful)

She sat on the floor; she was still in her jail-clothing

and her hair was messy.

V POV: I should find a place to stay… Can’t hang

around here for any longer. (worried)

She stood up and continued walking. After a few

minutes, the alley came to an end, and she found herself
in a big area with a rough, concrete floor, scattered
with aggregate. It was dusty and empty, most likely an
abandoned construction foundation. She walked
through the fog, squinting her eyes. After she was sure
no one was in sight, she lay down on the rough floor.

V POV: Definitely not gonna sleep here, but it’s good

for now. (relieved)

Violet became drowsy, as she hadn’t slept. She fell

asleep knowing that at some point she was going to get
caught again. But she also knew that she’d find a way
out.
The Arcade Heroes were ready for a scavenger hunt.
They had their goal set, and they had to complete it
before dark.

T: We must finish this before it becomes dark,

otherwise it’ll be harder to find her. The more time we
take, the more time she has to escape. (firm)

J: Ok.

C: Got it.

DR: It’s best if we split up. (determined)

T: Alright. Everyone goes different ways. And, if

anyone asks you what we’re doing, tell them it’s
important business.

J: What if they ask who we are? Everyone’s dying to

know. (annoyed)
D: We should make names. (excited)

C: The other day, I told a girl I was called ‘Cyber’.

(excited)

J: You guys can call me ‘Titanium’. I think it suits me.

(proud)

DR: ‘Claw’! That’ll be my name. (excited)

C: Since you make explosions, they should call you

Bakugo. (amused)

T: I like- no, I love anime, but I don’t want to be called

that. I think ‘Atomic’ sounds better.

D: Since I’m a piece of shit, you guys can call me

‘Chaos’. (disappointed)

J: Come on! Think of something better. (annoyed)

D: No, it’s actually cool. I like it.

DR: It’s great, but it suits villains.

C: Never mind. Let’s just get on with this thing. There’s

only four hours till the sun sets. (worried)

T: He’s right. There’s no time to waste. Let’s go.

(determined)

They nod and go in different directions.

After an hour or so, Clyde decides to rest between an

alley. He was weary and disappointed, as he hadn’t
found anything or anyone suspicious. He teleported on
top of the building he was next to. It was so high that he
could see the view of the whole city. In the horizon, he
saw a streak of bule, marking the sea.

C: *inhales, exhales*… The fresh smell of car

exhaust… (relaxed)
As the breeze fanned his cheeks, it was whispering
something to him, and a thought came to his mind.

C POV: What if… She wasn’t in these areas… If I were

a villain, I wouldn’t stay in a crowded place. It needs to
be isolated, almost completely… (suspicious)

He scanned the view and spotted a spacious area in the

distance. It seemed deserted, and was on the corner of
the city, near a port.

C POV: I would definitely hide there… (firm)

He jumped off and teleported from building to building,

all the way until he reached that place. He stopped
there and stood straighter than a flagpole, listening
attentively. He walked about, quietly and slowly. It was
quite dusty, but he could still see clearly. There was no
one, not even a soul, but he felt watched.

C POV: So quiet… Yet so suspicious… (suspicious)

Suddenly, as if out of thin air, Violet appeared.

V: What are you doing here?! (furious)

C: *stutters* H-how did you- (confused) What are you

doing here?! (angry)

V: I’m just here! What do you want from me?! (angry)

C: Only two things. Your gem, and whoever let you

out! (angry)

V: Did you really expect me to give you them that

easily? (annoyed)

C: Aren’t you a human? Is it that hard to give up a

lifetime of criminality? (angry)

V: You don’t understand! In fact, everyone just

misunderstood me! I never wanted any of this!
(emotional, angry)

C: Oh really? Who made that fire? Who tried to kill

people? Who even kidnapped Dylan? (angry)
V: I didn’t do any of that on purpose! (angry)

C: You did! Don’t try to deny- (angry)

Violet electro-blasts him and he falls on the ground, his

body throbbing. He tries to move but he couldn’t feel
his limbs.

C: *yelps in pain*

V: Try to stay put next time… (angry)

C: *groaning*… You’ll pay for this… (angry, in pain)

V: Don’t think I enjoy doing this. (angry, emotional)

C: I don’t think so… (angry, low voice)

Clyde gets up.

C: …I know so! (angry)

He teleports next to her and punches her. She hits back,
but he dodges it and kicks her from behind. She tries
blasting him again, but he zaps away from her and
pushes her onto the ground. He was about to pin her
down, but Violet had already learned her lesson, and
she kicks him below the stomach.

C: Ah! Shit… (in pain)

Just as she was about to escape, Takeshi and Derrek

came to help. Derrek ran to Clyde and helped him get
up.

C: Guys! You came! (relieved) You’re so late!

(annoyed)

DR: We were busy. Signing autographs. (proud)

C: You’re late at the worst times! (annoyed)

T: Guys, we can’t beat her with just the three of us. I

need you two to get the others. (determined, firm)
DR: What about you?

T: I’ll hold her back. (firm)

C: Are you sure you can do this alone? (concerned)

T: Yes. (firm)

Derrek and Clyde nodded at him, wishing him luck. As

they left, Takeshi faced Violet, without a glint of fear.

T: We’ve looked everywhere for you… (firm)

V: Of course… What kind of pleasure do you guys get

out of making me suffer? (angry, emotional)

T: You know what we want. It’s your fault that you

wouldn’t give it to us. If you’d done that, we wouldn’t
be so hard on you. (firm)

V: Best lie I’ve ever heard. (angry)

It was as if both were vicious predators, ready to
pounce at any moment. Eventually, Takeshi became
impatient, and he blasted his explosions at her. She
dodged them and flew up into the air, throwing electro
shocks at him. They continued fighting like this, and it
seemed to be never-ending. Just as Violet was about to
lose the fight, she sent one more shock at him, and he
couldn’t avoid it. He was stuck, trapped; the feeling he
felt so many times; the feeling he despised.

V: *panting*… There… Now I’ve got you… (tired,

firm)

She approached his frozen body and took his deep-blue

gem. He looked at her with such fury in his eyes, that
they were literally blazing.

V: I hope you don’t go after this. (firm)

She held the gem just above hers, and the closer it got
to her gem, its colours merged. Then, she pulled it
away, and the gems went back to normal.

V: Hm… Interesting… (curious)

Suddenly, she hears people coming towards them.
Takeshi immediately recognizes the voices of Clyde,
Jacob and Derrek, hoping that they could rescue him.

C: They’re over there!

V: *sighs*… This isn’t gonna end well… *muttering to

herself* (annoyed)

DR: Takeshi! What did you do to him?! (angry)

V: Oh, don’t worry. He’s just doing yoga. (careless)

J: Aren’t you scared? You’re out numbered, four to one.

(angry, determined)

V: Correction… Three to one. He’s frozen. (cheerful)

C: It doesn’t make a difference. Let him go! (angry)

V: I won’t until you give all of your gems! (angry)

DR: What do you want from them? (angry)

V: I’ve said it a million times! So you can stop trying to

kill me! (angry)

C: We’re not trying to kill you! You committed a crime,

and you’ve got to pay for that! (angry)

V: I didn’t find these gems on purpose! I didn’t even

start that fire! (angry)

J: Even if you didn’t, you stole stuff from a lab, worked

with a fugitive, and you ordered someone to kidnap us!
(angry)

V: None of that would’ve happened if you hadn’t

accused me of everything! (angry)

DR: You know what? Enough talk, let’s fight, and

that’ll decide who’s winning! (angry, determined)

V: Great idea… (angry)

Violet tries electro-shocks him, but he dodges it by
jumping. Jacob grabs a chunk of the ground and throws
it at her. She makes it disappear, and Clyde tries to
distract her.

C: Yo plum lady! Catch me! (mocking)

V: Ha! Don’t think I get distracted that easily- (angry)

Unfortunately, she does get distracted, and Jacob

interrupts her by throwing a huge chunk of the ground
on her.

J: Oops… I think I killed her. (careless)

C: Is she alive?

DR: I don’t know… Takeshi’s still frozen. If she was

dead, or if her gem was deactivated, he’d be free.
(concerned)
They crowded around the rock, patiently waiting for
any signal to prove she was alive.

C: Ok… I think we might have a murder on our

hands… (nervous)

But they were wrong. Violet startled them by attacking

from the back; she blasted all of them with an electro-
shock.

V: Ha! You really thought I was that stupid? I wouldn’t

wait to die under a rock… (angry, annoyed)

All of them were unable to move. Takeshi had watched

all of this happen, and he knew that now there was no
hope.

V: Finally… (relieved)

One by one, she took each of their gems. She gathered

them all in her hand and looked at them with guilt.

V: You can chase after me, but you can’t chase after
these gems anymore… (calm)
She takes all of them and holds them closer to each
other. As she does this, they begin to merge. They all
stare at them, slowly combining. They knew that all the
power in one gem could only lead to one thing.
Suddenly, there was a blinding flash. As they opened
their eyes, they could see a colourful, glowing light. All
the stones had merged into one, vibrant, gleaming gem.
Even though it was beautiful, its purpose wasn’t.

T POV: That’s it… It’s over… She’s going to destroy

everything… (worried, shocked)

V: Ok. I’ll let you go now.

Just as she was about to do that, she heard someone

call her name.

D: Violet! (worried)

Violet recognizes the voice, and her heart stops. She

turns around, and she faces Dylan.

D: What did you do to them?! (worried)

V: I was just about to let them go. (firm)

Dylan noticed the gem she was holding, and he knew

she’d taken them all, except his.

D: What… What did you do to the gems? (shocked)

V: I put them all together and took it. I’m done fearing
you and your friends. (firm)

D: W-why do you have to fear me? What did I ever do

to you? (emotional)

V: Are you really asking me that?! You know! Stop

playing dumb! (emotional, angry)

D: I don’t want to hurt you… (emotional, guilty)

V: Oh really? After everything you’ve done?! How can

you even say that! (emotional, angry)
D: I’m telling the truth; you know that. (emotional)

V: How am I supposed to believe that? You left me

behind! You accused me! I trusted you and you betrayed
me! (emotional, about to cry)

D: I never accused you! You can ask them, all I ever

tried to do was fix things! I didn’t know they spied on
us that day! (emotional, worried)

V: What about back then, huh? How can you explain

that? The letter said it! You’ve always hated me!
(emotional, angry)

D: I only did that, because I love you. (emotional,

apologetic)

Dylan held both of her hands.

D: And you know I still do. (emotional, apologetic)

V: You… You don’t. (emotional, crying)

Dylan pulled her face closer to his, and they kissed. The
others, who were still frozen, watched them in shock.
After a few seconds, they stopped.

V: Why did you do that… (annoyed, crying)

D: I’m sorry, I just… (guilty, emotional)

Violet took the gem and hovered her hand just above it.
She waited a few moments before there was another
flash. The gems were back to what they used to be. She
gently placed them in his hands, and he looked at her
surprisingly.

V: You can have them back; I just want one, and for
you guys to leave me alone. (worried)

D: We will. I promise. (relieved)

Violet walked away, and she disappeared, leaving

silver particles. Dylan watched her leave, and the
heavy weight on his back was finally lifted off. The rest
of the guys were able to move, and they all collapsed on
the floor, shocked and confused.
D: Guys! You’re ok! (relieved)

J: You liar! How didn’t you tell us about this! (angry)

D: I’m sorry… I couldn’t. (guilty)

DR: You were on her side this whole time… (firm,

disappointed)

D: I wasn’t on her side, I just wanted her to stop. Didn’t

you guys see? All you had to do was talk to her like a
civilized person! She gave us the gems back that easily!
(trying to prove something)

C: But why didn’t you tell us? You didn’t trust us, did
you? (disappointed)

D: I did, I just didn’t know how to tell you. (worried)

T: I don’t blame you. Love is unpreventable, whether

it’s hidden or not. (firm)
D: But really, I didn’t want to harm you guys. (worried)

J: I know! But it’s still annoying that you didn’t tell us.
(disappointed)

DR: Yeah, but before anything, I wanna know how all

of this started, because it sounds like you guys have
known each other for more than we thought…
(suspicious)

D: Eh- Yeah, maybe. (nervous)

C: I think we should get out of here first. And take

naps; my back is killing me. (tired)

T: I agree. Come on, let’s leave.

Violet had just left the spacious area. She was walking
along the beach, next to the port.
V POV: From now on, I’m just going to keep away
from the public and stay out of anymore crimes…
(stressed)

She had nowhere to stay, at least for now. She decided

to call Desiree.

DE: HelloOoOoOo… (cheerful)

V: Hey, I-

DE: Guess what! I robbed the bank. (proud)

V: Yeah, but- (calm) You did what?! (angry, shocked)

DE: It was so much fun; I ended up getting more than

70 million dollars! (excited)

V: Wait, let me get this straight. You robbed a whole

bank?! (angry)

DE: Mhm. And you missed out on so much. (sly)

V: *sighs*… You’re going to drive me insane…
(stressed)

DE: Aw, come on. You should be happy. I’ve got

enough money to build us a new base. (excited)

V: Yeah but… We don’t deserve it… (worried)

DE: Of course we do! (annoyed)

V: Ugh… Ok, we’ll see what we can do. (annoyed)

Where are you anyway?

DE: Somewhere near our base.

V: The one downtown? (confused)

DE: The new one. (proud)

V: What new one? (annoyed)

DE: Ok… So, I bought an island, it had a tall fancy
building on it in a secret location, and it has four huge
floors, and ten rooms, with a basement, a parking, a
helicopter pad, and a sea-view balcony. It’s all yours. If
you share.

V: You’re kidding, right? (annoyed)

DE: Nope. I’ll be picking you up in the yacht.

V: What!? (shocked)

Desiree hangs up. Violet was too shocked to move.

V POV: How can a person go from being homeless to

owning an island… (shocked)
